****Fools War 2023 Cancelled!!****
To start, I would like to thank everyone who has been looking forward to this event as well as all of my wonderful event staff and volunteers for all of the efforts they have put into planning fantastic activities for everyone.
Unfortunately, due to the current Byron weather forecast, my fellow autocrats and I have decided that it is in the best interests of people's safety to cancel the event for this weekend.
While I very much appreciate many people's willingness to play in the rain, the amount of and length of rain forecast combined with the topography and infrastructure of the site have made us concerned for attendee safety, first and foremost, but also the safety of their vehicles and ability to extract any should they get stuck. Because the current forecast also indicates a strong possibility of being hit by thunderstorms and being surrounded by storm potential, it's unlikely it would be safe for any fighting even if one could open a portal directly to the field and bypass the need to traverse uneven slopes or mucky ground by foot or by carriage.
