Calling All Woodside Artists: PTA Reflections Is Here!
Woodside PTA is excited to participate in the National PTA Reflections arts program for the 2026–27 school year!
This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me.”
Reflections gives every student an opportunity to think about what that theme means to them and express their ideas through original artwork.
Culture can mean so many things—traditions, language, music, food, family, community, celebrations, experiences, or the everyday moments that help make us who we are.
Students can enter original work in Dance Choreography, Music Composition, Photography, Film Production, Literature, or Visual Arts.
Reflections also includes an Accessible Arts division, giving students who qualify the opportunity to participate with accommodations.
We especially encourage our Life Skills students to join in and show us what this year’s theme means to them.
And our Woodside artists have a history of shining! Last year, two Woodside student entries advanced all the way to the State level.
Entries selected at Woodside this year will move on to the District competition, with the opportunity to advance to State and ultimately the National PTA Reflections competition.
Ready to create? Students should make an original piece inspired by this year’s theme, give their work a title and short artist statement, and pick up an entry form from the Woodside front office.
Completed forms and artwork are due back to the front office by Tuesday, November 10.
Whether your Toucan loves to draw, write, dance, compose, take pictures, make movies, or express themselves in their own unique way, we hope they’ll participate and tell their story.
