Did you know that your used plastic grocery bags can make a big difference?

At the Bonita Springs Service Center, we use these bags every week to package dry food items for families in need. With 200–300 families served weekly, we go through hundreds of bags—and we’d love your help keeping up!

Instead of throwing your plastic bags away, recycle them with us and be part of something meaningful. Every bag donated helps us better serve our community.

Our School Supply Drive shop is underway! 🎉

We need YOUR help to fill the bins and secure enough supplies to help over 300 local children this year!

🎒✨ BACKPACKS NEEDED!

Right now our greatest need is new backpacks!

Every child deserves the excitement of choosing a backpack they truly love. We’re hoping to provide a variety of colors, characters, patterns, and designs so each student can pick one that feels special and uniquely theirs as they head back to school.

A special note from our Director:

“This drive is extra special to me because I have always loved school supplies! Going school supply shopping as a child was one of the most exciting parts of getting ready for a new school year. There was something so special about picking out a backpack and supplies that were all my own. We want every child we serve to experience that same joy and confidence as they start the school year.” ♥️

Your donation of a new backpack can do so much more than carry school supplies—it can help a child feel prepared, valued, and excited for the year ahead.

This amazing group did a fantastic job of helping us set up our School Supply room! Not pictured here was Bill Barden who did lots of the heavy lifting 💪🏼

We are so excited to begin this special program. Each year, we provide new backpacks, school supplies, and school uniforms to hundreds of Bonita Springs children.

We couldn’t do it without the hard work of our staff and volunteers who register the children, set up the supplies, pack backpacks, and organize uniforms. 👏🏼

A special shout out goes to the ladies at Tavira who focused solely on sorting and organizing the uniforms today!

This May, our Service Center had the privilege of assisting 6 families with rental assistance — helping prevent eviction and providing stability during incredibly difficult times. ❤️

Behind every number is a family facing uncertainty, stress, and hardship. Through compassionate support from our caseworkers and community generosity, we were able to walk alongside these families and remind them that they are not alone.

At The Salvation Army, we believe hope starts at home. By helping families remain safely housed, we are not only meeting an immediate need, but also helping create a stronger foundation for the future.

💛 Volunteers Needed on Monday Mornings! 💛

Our food pantry needs helping hands — especially during the summer months — to assist with unloading food deliveries from Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, Inc., stocking shelves, and preparing food bags for local families in need.

These wonderful ladies spent today bagging fresh corn and potatoes, helping ensure our neighbors receive nutritious food with dignity and care. 🌽🥔 We are so grateful for every volunteer who shows up ready to serve!
