Louisiana! While well-intentioned, HB775 creates dangerous loopholes allowing unverified “temporary caregivers” to consent to medical treatment for minors without any obligation for providers to verify legal authority. The bill weakens parental protections, creates pathways for minors to receive vaccines and other medical treatments without parental knowledge, and undermines longstanding safeguards protecting informed consent and parental rights.

Parents — not unverified third parties — should direct the medical care of their children.

We respectfully ask Governor Landry to veto HB775.

🚨 Congress has an opportunity to protect access to homeopathic medicines, but they need to hear from you.

In recent years, the FDA has removed entire categories of homeopathic products from the marketplace, including certain eye drops and injectable products. Without congressional action, additional categories of homeopathic medicines could face similar restrictions.

The Homeopathic Drug Product Safety, Quality, and Transparency Act would:

✔ Create a legal pathway for homeopathic medicines

✔ Protect access to current and future products that meet safety and quality standards

✔ Prevent the FDA from eliminating entire categories of homeopathic medicines

✔ Preserve the FDA's ability to remove products that are unsafe or adulterated

More than 50 organizations have united in support of this legislation because Americans deserve the freedom to choose the health care options that work best for them.

🚨 BIG WIN FOR ALTERNATIVE HEALTH 🚨

The congressional proposed budget just landed and it keeps support for alternative health in place.

The budget still has to move through Congress, but the biggest hurdle was making sure alternative health wasn’t cut from the proposal in the first place. Because it remains included, we’re no longer fighting to get it added back in. Now we’re focused on making sure it stays there.

There is still work ahead, but today is a day to celebrate a significant win. 🎉
