No position of power should ever place someone above accountability. Palm Beach County Clerk of Court Michael Caruso, 67, has been arrested on five felony charges involving the alleged abuse of a child, following an investigation involving FDLE and other law enforcement agencies. He has also been suspended from office.
According to the arrest affidavit, on Thanksgiving Day, the child reported that Caruso touched him during a game of “tickle monster.” The allegation is a painful reminder that grooming and abuse can sometimes be hidden behind seemingly ordinary interactions and trusted relationships.
As this case develops, one thing remains clear, protecting children requires vigilance, courage, and a justice system willing to follow the evidence wherever it leads.
At Child Rescue Coalition, we stand with the investigators working to uncover abuse and hold offenders accountable. Our mission is to equip law enforcement with the technology and training they need to identify predators and protect children. Because no title, position, or place of trust should ever come before the safety of a child.
