The U.S. Department of Defense is about to dose active-duty soldiers with MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD.

Read that again.

Active duty. Not retired. Not separated. Currently serving 🇺🇸

Two DoD-funded studies. 186 service members. Walter Reed and Emory University. Three MD-MA sessions across 10 months - beginning as soon as this year.

This isn’t fringe anymore. This is federal policy.

And we watched this moment coming.

Five years ago, our Commanding Officer Matthew “Whiz” Buckley traveled to Mexico with Navy SEAL veteran Marcus Luttrell. Both had experiences that changed their lives forever.

Marcus went home a different man.

His brother, Congressman Morgan Luttrell - a veteran Navy SEAL - witnessed that transformation. Then he sought his own healing. Then he went to Congress and mandated this research into law as part of the National Defense Authorization Act.

One warrior’s healing. A brother who witnessed it. A congressman who fought for it. 186 active-duty soldiers who will now benefit from it.

That’s how change happens.

President Trump stood in the Oval Office two weeks ago and said what we’ve been saying for years - since 9/11, we’ve lost over 21 times more veteran lives to su***de than on the battlefield. Then he signed an executive order to accelerate entheogenic research and expand veteran access.

At No Fallen Heroes Foundation, we didn’t wait. We’ve been sponsoring healing retreats for over 5 years - ib0gaine, psil0cybin, 5-MeO-DMT - for veterans, first responders, and their families. Operating responsibly with the reverence these warriors deserve.

22 veterans a day are still dying. We think that number is sadly higher.

The science is there. The political will is there. The personal proof is undeniable - we’ve helped hundreds heal service related trauma.

These warriors are not broken. They are not out of options.

The mission is clear and we’re proud to be on the frontlines of this fight.

Our 2025 Annual Debrief is out.

Despite a challenging environment for charitable donations, the No Fallen Heroes Foundation expanded direct impact by nearly 200%. More than 50 veterans, first responders, and family members were served through healing retreats in the United States and abroad.

2025 was also the year this work moved into the national conversation - the New York Times, Fox News, Military Times, a House Oversight investigation into fighter pilot brain trauma, a one on one meeting with and the VA Secretary in Washington, and a panel at Harvard Law School.

And yet the federal grant system said no. We applied for the Staff Sergeant Gordon Parker Fox Su***de Prevention Grant. We received a form letter.

While government systems debate, delay, and defer, we are actively reducing veteran su***de. The outcomes are measurable. The testimony from participants, spouses, and parents is consistent: lives restored, families made whole.

As we enter 2026, we are prioritizing corporate partners, high-net-worth donors, and recurring grassroots support to sustain and scale this work.

ABC News is reporting that TBI is emerging as the signature wound of the current conflict - more than 140 of the 200+ U.S. troops wounded so far have sustained traumatic brain injuries , driven by the concussive force of one-way attack drones.

We’ve seen this before. More than 460,000 service members were diagnosed with TBIs between 2001 and 2023. The consequences follow them home for years - sometimes for life. Symptoms range from persistent headaches and cognitive impairment to memory loss and difficulty concentrating.

And here is the part that should stop everyone:

Veterans with TBIs are nearly twice as likely to die by su***de compared to veterans without a diagnosed brain injury.

The system that sends them forward has not kept pace with how to bring them home.

At No Fallen Heroes Foundation, we are not waiting.

Emerging research on entheogenic therapies - including psilocybin and ib0gaine - is demonstrating meaningful results for veterans carrying the neurological and psychological weight of blast-related trauma. These are not fringe treatments. They are the subject of active clinical investigation at institutions like NYU, Johns Hopkins, and MAPS. Veterans who have exhausted conventional options are finding pathways to healing that conventional care never offered.

We are putting down the ladder to heal these heroes - made possible entirely by donors who believe these warriors deserve more than a prescription and a waiting list.

These service members are not broken. They are carrying an extraordinary burden.

Congress is finally talking about funding psychedelic therapy for veterans.

We started doing it over five years ago.

We didn’t wait for a bill. We didn’t wait for the VA to catch up. We didn’t wait for Washington to debate whether our heroes deserved healing. We went and got it done - because lives were being lost.

And let’s be honest about what that delay has cost.

Every single day, at least 22 veterans die by su***de. Most experts believe the real number is even higher - because if you fell outside the VA system, you don’t make the count.

How many of those deaths happened while this sat in committee? While bureaucrats debated scheduling classifications and peer review panels? While our warriors - who ran toward the bullets - were sent to another country just to access a healing modality that actually works?

That’s not support. That’s abandonment dressed up in red tape. Maybe it’s big pharma, alcohol, and to***co interests flexing their checkbooks.

The VA just confirmed their psychedelic therapy trial results won’t be available for years to come. Years to come. Tell that to the veteran who didn’t make it through this week.

No Fallen Heroes Foundation didn’t build a movement around waiting. We built it around showing up - because the mission doesn’t pause for legislation.

We welcome this bill. We support every voice in Washington finally saying out loud what we’ve known on the ground for years: this medicine saves lives.

But we will never stop being furious that it took this long.

Our heroes are finally being healed at home. That’s always been the mission.

It always should have been.

Our hearts are with every service member in harm’s way right now, and with every family waiting by the phone.

We hold in prayer the warriors we’ve already lost - seven American service members killed and approximately 140 wounded since operations began on February 28th. We honor their sacrifice. We grieve with their families.

And we pray for a swift end to hostilities so that everyone still deployed comes home safe.
But we also know what comes next.

When warriors return from combat, the war doesn’t always end. Blast exposure from missiles, rockets, and drone strikes inflicts traumatic brain injury - the signature wound of modern conflict. TBI damages neural pathways, disrupts cognition, and drives the PTSD, depression, and suicidal ideation that have taken more veteran lives than combat itself.

This is where our mission meets this moment.
Emerging research from Stanford Medicine has demonstrated that ib0gaine - one of the sacramental compounds central to our healing model - promotes neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to repair damaged pathways and grow new ones. In a study of 30 Special Operations veterans with TBI, a single ibogaine treatment produced average reductions of 88% in PTSD symptoms, 87% in depression, and 81% in anxiety. Follow-up imaging provided the first evidence of structural brain changes in humans after ibogaine therapy, suggesting it may help reverse accelerated brain aging caused by repeated blast exposure.

No other compound has shown this kind of potential for the invisible wounds of war.

No Fallen Heroes Foundation exists so that when these warriors come home - carrying burdens no one else can see - there is a path to restoration waiting for them. Not a pill. Not a waiting list. A community, a protocol, and a purpose.

We are here. We will be here. And no one fights alone.

“While serving in the US Navy Submarine Force on Fast attack Submarines, I suffered three documented traumatic brain injuries with accompanied loss of consciousness. This, coupled with several traumatic events in my life also led to me being diagnosed with severe PTSD.

Although professionally successful, I was full of false narratives that I wrote about myself and had many demons.

The medicine called, and through a grant from No Fallen Heroes I was able to begin healing and see the light.

My journey allowed me to see the innocence that was still inside me even though I felt like I was encased in layers of BS for decades.

This clearly has been the most profound form of therapy I have ever been exposed to, and I am now getting my joy back.”

Three traumatic brain injuries. Severe PTSD. Decades of carrying stories that were never true.

At No Fallen Heroes Foundation, we’ve witnessed how powerful psilocybin can be in helping our heroes heal, but we’re just as clear about what it is not. It is not a magic pill, and it does not do the work for you. What it offers is something both rare and sacred: a clean piece of paper.

In the days following a high-dose journey, the brain enters a window of heightened neuroplasticity where old patterns loosen and new pathways become possible. This window is biological, not optional. If it’s used with intention, new habits and healthier responses can take root. If it’s ignored, the nervous system will quietly return to what it knows.

This is where real healing begins.

The work after the journey is what determines whether change lasts. That work looks like choosing new daily habits, responding differently under stress, committing to integration instead of avoidance, and replacing numbness with presence.

Psilocybin creates the opening, but discipline, support, and community are what help our heroes write something new on that clean page.
