The Giving Tree of Temple Beth El has the mission to spread kindness, dignity, and hope to those in need within our local area. Each recipient is treated as if they are a member of our own family as we strive to identify and support the needs of the children, young adults, families and seniors among us who do not have access to some of the most basic necessities. We are a 100% volunteer grassroots
organization consisting of a steering committee of 5, along with hundreds of volunteers throughout Boca Raton. We help foster children, families down on their luck, homeless teens, and victims of tragic circumstances such as: fire, medical issues, and death of a parent. The Giving Tree was started over 20 years ago as a small social action group within Temple Beth El providing holiday gifts for a few local families in need. With the support of Temple Beth El clergy, congregants and the community at large, The Giving Tree has expanded to serve over 2000 children and seniors per holiday season and hundreds more recipients throughout the year with our 3 main programs; “Holiday Giving”, “Quiet Giving” and “Sweet Dreams”. The Giving Tree does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, color, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
