Fannin County Rebel football players and their families donated $800.00 this morning toward our cancer awareness and family-community support initiative. We are asking Rebel Nation to match our amount tonight. We will have donation tables set up at the game ready to receive your donations.

Stronger Together Under The Lights.
Tonight's theme is “Stronger Together Under the Lights”
1.) Players wear pink ribbon stickers on their helmets
2.) Fans wear pink
3.) There will be a donation table set up pregame (6:00-7:30) as you enter the stadium. Cash donations only. Donations will go to a local family battling cancer.
4.) There will be a special prayer & announcement before kickoff to honor those who fight.

1 Corinthians 13:13 "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

The game of Football has given me and my family so much, and now it is time for me to give back to the game by using our platform to honor and support others in need.

Every single week, our team fights for the glory of victory on the field; however, we recognize that many in our community...our mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, and family friends, many of whom are more family than friends, are fighting for their lives. This week, we honor them and those that surround them. We recognize their courage, fully knowing that some of them choose to carry the burden privately to protect those they love. I don't know of any greater example of toughness than these people: those who are fighting for their own survival but can only think about how their life threatening disease affects those that they love. To those people, we see you, we love you, and we appreciate and are inspired by your courage.

In honor of all those who are fighting or have fought life threatening diseases, and those that have supported them in their journey, we will wear a Pink Ribbon Helmet Sticker. Furthermore, our players will wear a pink sticker and we will ask our community to make a donation this Friday night.

All proceeds will be given to a Blue Ridge family in need because they are fighting the good fight. In a world transformed by "look at me" culture and virtue signaling for personal gain, we will be a program of substance, teaching our young people it is not enough to know...it is not enough to care...if we are to love, we must act.

To those in the fight, please know that you are an inspiration to me. Your struggle and the way you carry the burden gives me perspective. You are the embodiment of Faith, Hope, and Love and I personally cannot lead in a world where these three no longer remain. Thank you for being the embodiment of Christ's greatest gift. God bless.

Friday, Oct. 2: The high school Rebels head to Dade County for another region battle! Kickoff at 7:30 PM.

Saturday, Oct. 3: Our youth teams are HOME against Lumpkin, Lakeview and Dawson! Games start at 9 AM.

Our Offensive Line was mentioned today in The Atlanta Journal Constitution Georgia High School Daily as "Lines of Distinction "

Big shoutout to Isaac Watkins, Abraham Rosalez, Leo LeGendre, Cayden Reece, Ethan Majors and tight end Luke Nichols paved the way for two 100-yard rushers – Cannon Holloway (176) and Bryson Cole (116) – in a 31-28 victory over Christian Heritage.
