The BRMC Prayer Garden is adjacent to the church and available to the community for pra

yer and meditation. It is also used for special prayer services and private ceremonies. You may place prayer requests in the prayer box located in the garden. Evangelism - Reaching out to bring the message of Christ to our community while providing a place to worship and grow in our relationship with Him. Prayer - Offering Prayer events led by our pastors while lifting daily prayers for those in need through emails to our Prayer Warriors. Music - Featuring blended worship music from both a Chancel Choir and Praise Team. The Joyful Ringers Handbell Choir enhances our worship service once a month with beautiful music for God’s glory. They practice weekly on Wednesdays at 5:00 pm. If you are interested in joining this instrumental ensemble, contact the church office. Missions - Providing support for those who need it both locally and around the world as we share Christ’s message. Congregational Care - Helping our congregation to feel God's arms around them daily as we give support through the hard times and celebrate the good. Methodist Men - Our men enjoy fellowship, dinner, and devotionals while planning events to raise funds to support the children and needy in Fannin County. Women of Grace - Our women meet for fellowship and spiritual growth. They raise money by holding events that benefit the community while volunteering their time in support of church activities. Card Ministry - Help design cards for special occasions and concerns. The Cards Ministry meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 1 pm. Bring your lunch and use your talents to glorify God!

Dear Congregation,
It is a sacred blessing that God calls both women and men to servant leadership in the Body of Christ. Some are called to pastoral leadership, service in missions, preaching, teaching, etc. If God calls a woman or man to serve in vocational ministry, He is faithful to equip them and prepare them for that role.

The Global Methodist Church and Blue Ridge Methodist Church affirms and blesses those who have been called and confirmed to serve in ministry. God calls both women and men.

All of you know that Pastor Laura and I are a clergy couple, equally ordained as Elders, serving as pastors together. We are blessed that both our calls have been fully affirmed and supported by the church. My heart aches for so many women and girls affected by the Southern Baptist Convention’s decision to strengthen their voice against women in the ordained ministry and pastoral roles in the church. I pray that they will receive the support they deserve in discerning their calls to ministry. I don’t know where we would be without the faithful women’s voices speaking into our calls and leading in the church.

For Laura’s recent ordination as Elder, I am framing a copy of this portrait of Susanna Wesley, The Mother of Methodism. It was her strong preaching, teaching, and leading that prepared John and Charles Wesley and led them to affirm women preachers. As a result, the greater Wesleyan/Methodist movement has known many wonderful women called by God to PREACH the Gospel!

I am so thankful for every Disciple of Jesus Christ that is called to serve His body!
