It's yet another gorgeous Autumn day with colors galore! Please enjoy the beauty and stop by for some hearty soup filled will all of the colors of fall today at the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill.

2:30 - 6pm.

ND apple/pear crisp (while it lasts) thanks to donations by 5 Star Nursery and Orchard, Johnston's Apple Orchard and the Healthy Acadia Gleaning Initiative crew!

The cooking crew at the church worked an extra long shift today chopping and working their magic today. Please join us all in sending out extra love to them for their dedication. AND add more love in the mix for the team at St. Brendan the Navigator Episcopal Church, Deer Isle, Maine who also pulled out all the stops preparing soup for our delivery customers.

We are additionally grateful to Pineland Farms, Tinder Hearth, The Blue Hill Co-op, Brooklin Garden Club our beef producers at King Hill Farm and more!

It’s Soup Time!

Glorious day for soup! We are open today from 2:30 - 4pm at the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill

Salad, fruit, cheese and bread!

Home baked desserts while they last and lots of sweeties from Hannaford Supermarkets via our dear friends at the Tree of Life Food Pantry & Turn-Style Thrift Shop

Today Chef Dan Nicholas, who typically cooks at our Halcyon Grange #345 for delivery, led the church kitchen today alongside Diddy. Thank you, Dan, once again, for a season of plenty going out to our customers. We will miss you in the off-season.

And thank you to our dear, dedicated friends at Northern Light Blue Hill Hospital who cooked for our delivery program today. They have been providing a monthly meal for us for well over ten years. What an amazing leader and crew they have!!!

Brooklin Garden Club, you are the best! Thank you for all of the beauty on our tables each week.

Bakers at Tinder Hearth, David S, Fred H, Hannah W and Donna S, where would we be without you you!! Bread less and cake less! That's no way to live. Thank you all!

and, ALL of our generous, dedicated volunteers who make our pots simmer - along with folks who donate tasty ingredients and items to distribute to diners. We are the Simmering Pot because of all you and all of you who share a meal with us.

This gorgeous Autumn day of rain, and colors all around us, calls for WARM SOUP! Come on over to the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill from 2:30 - 6pm for a hearty meal.

Lemony Whit Bean and Rice Soup - VG/GF

- along with all of the usual sides of salad, fruit, cheese and bread.

Dear Neighbors,

On this glorious last day of official summer we have 2 hot and delish soups for all who come into the doors of the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill Hall from 2:30 - 6 pm today.

Eat-in or takeaway and enjoy fresh fruit, salad, cheese and bread all loveingly prepared for you by our amazing volunteers.

Thanks Chef Lisa and Susan for cooking today and for donations and goods from Bianco Catering, Pineland Farms,Blue Hill Co-op, Tinder Hearth, Healthy Acadia's Gleaning intiative along with local farms Quill's End Farm, Rainbow Farm and King Hill Farm for the best meat and bakers Hannah, Fred and Donna for bakerd goods and flowers from the Brooklin Garden Club AND so many others!!

Included in that are some big thanks and ❤ to zucchini loving Chef Dan and his crew who cooked at the Halcyon Grange #345 today for our delivery program. Dan, thank you for souping up so many pots this summer! We wish you happy jazz gigging in NYC and beyond and can't wait for your return in June.

It's Monday and we are back! Our cooks have prepared delicious fall soups, perfect for a beautiful day like this one. Come in for a meal in the hall of the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill or take your meal home, or to the park, and enjoy the glory of this gorgeous weather without the worry of cooking.

Open 2:30 to 6pm

Beef and Bean Chili
Curried Red Lentil and Sweet Potato Soup
and Bianco's Seafood Chowdah while it lasts (thanks Frank Bianco!)

Plus all of the usual fresh sides, including a Jack-o-Lantern watermelon bowl made by our own artist/volunteer, Jen White (who also made our Fall menu sign💖)

Every second Monday of the month our friends at St. St Francis by the Sea Episcopal CH meet in their kitchen to cook up a few pots of specialty vegetarian soups for some of our delivery customers. St. Francis chefs, your culinary artistry is truly appreciated by our diners and our primary delivery kitchen (this week the Halcyon Grange #345 SP Crew) so they can focus on the rest of the soup needed. Today 146 quarts are being delivered with the help our partners at Healthy Peninsula and their volunteers across the peninsula!!

Support for local farms and businesses, partner organizations, tremendous volunteer strength and teamwork makes our pots simmer for all of you!! Come and see us today!🙏❤️

What a beautiful last day of August. Come see us for soup filled with summer harvest flavors.

We are open 2:30 to 6pm at the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill.

Come one, come all for soup, sides and later on in the evening, dancing under the stars to the community-loved sound of Flash! In the Pans Steel Drum Band!

We are open from 2:30 - 6pm.

The dance, which through tonight's proceeds will help fund our program, is from 7:30 - 9pm in the Blue Hill Town Park!
