What a beautiful last day of August. Come see us for soup filled with summer harvest flavors.

We are open 2:30 to 6pm at the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill.

Today we have:
Roasted Corn Summer Squash Chicken Soup -GF
Vegan Zucchini Basil - GF
and beautiful garden salad, fresh fruit, bread and cheese!

PLEASE NOTE: We will be CLOSED next Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day.

Thank you, dear partners at St. Brendan the Navigator Episcopal Church, Deer Isle, Maine for once again cooking for our delivery program today. Two weeks in a row - you are our heroes!! And more thanks to our partners at Healthy Peninsula for making our delivery program possible.

Ingredients this week come from FarmDrop, Healthy Acadia's gleaning initiative, Rainbow Farm, Blue Hill Co-op, Hannaford Supermarkets, Tinder Hearth, home bakers and more! Our beautiful flowers are from our dear friends at the Brooklin Garden Club.

Come one, come all for soup, sides and later on in the evening, dancing under the stars to the community-loved sound of Flash! In the Pans Steel Drum Band!

We are open from 2:30 - 6pm.

The dance, which through tonight's proceeds will help fund our program, is from 7:30 - 9pm in the Blue Hill Town Park!

Hello, Dear Neighbors,

Summer is not over but it sure feels like a fall day perfect for warm and comforting soup! We have it! Come on over to the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill between 2:30 and 6pm for....

Split Pea with Ham soup
and
Vegan Southwestern Bean soup
.and lots of fresh fruit, salad, cheese (Donated by our friends at Pineland Farm) and Tinder Hearth and other locally baked bread (Hannah!)

Thanks to all of the volunteers at our home location at the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill and the Halcyon Grange #345 where our delivery kitchen cooked last week and today!!

Thank you, also, to our friends the Brooklin Garden Club. What gorgeous flowers!

We had one of our youngest volunteers ever, 11 years old, on the Grange crew last week. He was learning how to cook for crowds from his dad and his amazing uncle, Chef Dan Nicholas and the crew!! Thanks for helping out, Stevie!

What a gorgeous summer day and a perfect day to visit the Simmering Pot, open from 2:30 - 6pm.

Come on over for some Meaty Pasta Bake or Summer Garden Veggie Bake ( we have a vegan version!) AND Vegan Carrot Soup while it lasts.

Along with lots of delish sides including a beautiful fresh salad made with greens donated by Frank Bianco. And look at our Sharkuterie of fruit made by our talented volunteer, Jen White!!

Thank you to so many donors, gleaners and outstanding volunteers who have such fun preparing meals for you all. Thank you also to the Brooklin Garden Club!!

Today, we want to give extra special thanks to the team at St. St Francis by the Sea Episcopal CH who prepared out specialty soups for our delivery program today. Each month they meet on the second Monday to cook up tasty vegan/gf soups for folks with special dietery needs. The recipes they use were designed by the renowned chef, cook book author and local friend to many, Brooke Dojny. Brooke helped set up the SP kitchen crew at St. Francis almost 4 years ago and has just stepped down from that position. Thank you, Brooke for your years of service! 💖

Happy Gorgeous Summer Day, Dear Neighbors,

Come join us today from 2:30 - 6 pm for soup and sides or take your meal away with your for a picnic. We will be waiting for you at the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill!

Beef Minestrone Soup (beef from our dear friends at Rainbow Farm)
Black Bean Soup VG/GF
and lots of sides!

Thanks to all of our amazing volunteers, like Jen White, our "I can do anything!" champ and our newest volunteer, Swiss Chard Lady!
