Ducks Unlimited conserves, restores, and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl as well as to benefit other wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts.

Please plan to join our Annual Banquet and Fund Raiser this Saturday at Jeff's Catering in Brewer. Once again we join this year with the Downeast and Katahdin Chapters to present an evening of conversation, great food, raffles, and prizes. Our focus, as always, is raising money to go to local projects to protect waterfowl, wildlife, and natural habitats in our area.
Tickets are $55.00 for a single, $75.00 for a couple, and $30 for those under 18. The cost includes a $35.00 DU Membership.

Have you considered volunteering for Acadia Chapter of DU? We can use help with all aspects of planning and running our upcoming October Acadia Chapter Dinner. We need people to help solicit donations, contribute merchandise, advertise the event, sell tickets, set up the venue, run games, and bring in members. We usually hold our meetings at Pat's Pizza in Ellsworth. If you would like to help in any capacity, please send us a message.

Attending the Maine Ducks Unlimited State Council Meeting in Gardner today. Great opportunity to network with leadership from around the state, hear how different chapters did this past year, and get ideas for improving events.

We are getting ready for the Acadia Chapter's Annual Fundraising Banquet to be held on September 28 at Big Cat's Event Center, 163 Bar Harbor Road, Trenton. Doors will open at 5:30, with dinner and games of chance, a live auction, raffles, and wonderful conversations. Tickets are $50 for a single, $80 for a couple, and $35 for Greenwings under 18. Sponsor singles are $285 and a couple for $300.

Since 1937 Ducks Unlimited's mission has been habitat conservation. As the world's largest and most effective private, nonprofit, waterfowl and wetlands conservation organization, DU benefits people as well as a wide range of wildlife. Our wetlands impact the purity of our groundwater, flooding, and soil erosion, and are the habitat for over 900 wildlife species as well as providing for our recreation. The United States continues to lose tens of thousands of acres yearly.

DU is a volunteer-based organization, and 26% of its revenue comes from events, sponsors, and memberships. 83% of its revenue goes directly to waterfowl and wetlands conservation and education.

Please join Acadia Chapter's efforts in September to contribute to this mission. Volunteers are also necessary to the success of our Banquet, so contact us if you can help set up, contact local businesses for donations, or provide raffle items.

Glen was honored as the Ducks Unlimited Area Chairman of the Year for 2018 as well as a 20 Year Volunteer. Acadia Chapter is fortunate to have such a devoted person at their helm.

This is a wonderful opportunity to help Ducks Unlimited continue its 81 years of commitment to conservation of waterfowl habitat across North America. To date more than 14 million acres have been protected, and your generosity will help this initiative move forward.

With the devastation in Florida and Texas, our wildlife are at risk, and your attendance provides funds to aid in their plight.
