Our goal is to help mothers who may not have resources they need to experience the joy of motherhood. WHAT IS WALKING WITH MOMS IN NEED?

Walking with Moms in Need is a process through which Catholic parishes and communities "walk in the shoes" of local pregnant and parenting women in need. Everyone should know how to help moms in difficult circumstances. While not trying to turn Catholic parishes into pregnancy centers, we can support local pregnancy centers where they exist, and we can also find and share other resources with pregnant and parenting women. And where there are few local resources, we can create our own, based on the gifts of the parish community! We hope you and your parish will join us in Walking with Moms in Need. Walking with Moms in Need is part of a nationwide initiative, but this page is for the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi, MS specifically.

This month, we are especially grateful for the incredible support of our Catholic schools and the way they continue to help us walk alongside families in our community.

Thank you to St. Patrick Catholic High School and Resurrection Catholic School for living out the Gospel through generosity AND action. Together, we are all truly Walking with Moms in Need!

“One thing I have learned through this baby drive is that supporting a child, mother or family sometimes means meeting a need that doesn’t fit inside a donation bin.

A local pregnant single mother is currently facing an unexpected family-court expense involving her young daughter. She is responsible for $1,000 toward the fee for a Guardian ad Litem, whose role in the case is to advocate for the child’s best interests.

So we’re using this platform to rally around her.

Our goal is $1,000. If 100 people give $10, her entire portion is covered.

This isn’t about choosing sides in a custody dispute or speaking against another parent. It’s about seeing a mother and child with a real need and saying, “You don’t have to carry this alone.”

St. Patrick is partnering with Walking with Moms in Need to support mothers, babies, and families in our community! 💚

Students can donate one small pack of diapers or a case of 100+ wipes to their Theology teacher and earn up to 2 service hours.

Jesus calls us to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31). This is one simple way we can put that love into action by walking alongside moms and families in need. 💛

Behind every ministry is someone who simply says “Yes, I got it” 🤍

Meet our Erin!! Her “yes” has meant countless hours, late nights, phone calls, planning, organizing, and showing up for moms and babies in our community. All while being a single mom herself.

This month, Erin is continuing to take that commitment one step further as she hosts Betty Camille’s 2nd Annual Birthday Baby Drive in support of Walking with Moms in Need and Promiss Pregnancy Care Center 🩷👶🏼

She knows what it means to have a full plate, yet she continues to make room for other mothers and families. Her heart for mothers, her love for babies and her willingness to give her time and prayers is such a beautiful example of what it means to walk alongside someone!

We are so grateful for Erin and the way she continues to pour into this ministry, not because she has endless time, but because she believes every mother deserves to know she is not alone 🫂
