Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church Sveta Petka Boston Please help our church addition project. Your donation is greatly appreciated! https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/NWZ3XCK7BEAEN sv. Petka Church.

In the spring of 2000, a group of Bulgarian Christians gathered with a common vision and desire to have their own Bulgarian Orthodox Church in Boston. The idea is admirable and hard work began. The Bulgarian Saint Petka-Tarnovska (Sveta Petka) was chosen as a patroness of the church. In May 2000, the Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church Sveta Petka, Ink was officially registered as a NGO with the St

ate of Massachusetts. A Board was established who took initiatives for the organization. Protoirei (Dean) Rumen Popbotev Pelovsky was invited to serve as a priest of the church. He accepted the position with great enthusiasm and donates his entire salary to the church, and to this day. The church became a part of the life of the Bulgarian community in Boston. In addition to church services and events, the church supported and participated in many community events. The church did not have its own building. It rented various churches where it held his services. On January 7, 2013, in partnership with the Bulgarian Church Sveta Petka, the Bulgarian School "Sv. Kiril i Methodii" and the Bulgarian-American Cultural Center "Madara", a new community organization was formed - the Bulgarian Center of New England (BCNE) with the aim of purchasing a building for the needs of the three organizations. With the help of many volunteers, donors and God's help on February 10, 2020, the building was purchased in Billerica, MA. In a short time, it became and proved to be a central and unifying place for the Bulgarian community. The building is used jointly by the three organizations. It is small, but has potential for extension for the church chapel. The main hall is used for the church services now. Our church always dream to have our own church space. For that reason this year (2025), the three organizations join forces to raise funds for a new exciting project: to build a multi -purpose extension to the center and a separate chapel for our St. We’re thrilled to share that our architectural and engineering plans are complete. Now, we’re looking for the right contractor to help bring our project to life and to raise the funds needed to build. This year our church celebrates its 25th anniversary. We would be so grateful if you could help us realize our long time dream of having a church building. Let us unite in faith and action, trusting that with God's help and our collective commitment, we can bring this vision to life.
