Hungerford Trail Riders Association The Hungerford Trail Riders Association (HTRA) was founded in 1990.

HTRA works closely with the US Forest Service to promote and maintain the horse trails and campground at the Hungerford Recreation Area in Big Rapids, MI.

👕 **Looking for a Volunteer\!** 👕

We’re looking for someone to help sell Hungerford Trail Riders merchandise at the J&M Picnic Ride!

It’s a fun and easy way to get involved with the club. You’ll help set up the merchandise table, sell club apparel and other items, keep an eye on inventory.

If you enjoy meeting people and want to help support the club, we’d love to have you.

What a Fantastic Hungerford Trails Blessing Day. Many THANKS to All that Made this Happen. Hungerford Volunteers and Members have been clearing trails, building things, and spending time setting up HTRA display and hosting. Thank You All who Volunteer and Thank you all that attended the HTRA Blessing of the Trails 2026. Be sure to check out our new Kiosk by the water pump house. Also, Thank You to Forest Service for the new hitching rails around the pavilion.
