Learn about dryland mushing, try it for yourself and meet a World Championship level musher!

We excited to host Annie Carrothers, who placed 3rd at the IFSS World Championship in 1-Dog Scooter this past fall with her dog Ruckus, for two special events:

Wed Aug 26, 7 pm: Annie’s Story: from starting with rescue dogs to reaching a World Championship podium, plus the basics of getting started in canicross and bikejor. The talk will be live streamed on our page for those who can’t make it in person.

Sat Aug 29, 8 am: Dryland Gathering: bring your dog (and bike) to try canicross or bikejor for yourself! We will have loaner gear, free gear checks, and experienced mushers on hand to help get your dog running.

Both presentations held at the CDMA Ron Killian Clubhouse located at 18581 Beach Lake Rd, Chugiak, AK 99567

Free and open to the public, just show up, no RSVP needed!

Never done dryland mushing before? This is the easiest way in. Bring your dog (any breed, any size canicross works for almost everyone) and see what its all about.

WALK INS ARE CHANGING! OWNERS NEEDING EXAMS, PLEASE READ BELOW!

For all pets needing vaccinations, nail trims or microchips, feel free to keep on coming in during walk-in hours. All patients receiving monthly biological injections (cytopoint, librela, solensia) can also still come in during walk-ins as long as the medication is working well. Please remember to bring vaccination records as well!

What will be changing is folks needing more time and assistance; Allergy dogs, ear infections, hair loss, lumps, eye infections, etc.

These dogs and cats need more time with our veterinarian and often need a diagnostic service. We will currently offer appointments every 30 minutes from 11-3:00 on days we are open for walk ins and our exam charge will be $50.

These will need to be scheduled ahead of time through email ([email protected]) or Facebook Messenger.

This will ensure you have all the time you need without being rushed.

Our DogGone Party is this Sunday, May 31st at 11 am at the clubhouse.

Election ballots will be counted at 12 pm. If you didn’t receive a ballot & are eligible to vote, please let us know.

There will be a potluck after ballots are tallied. Please bring something to share.

We will do some cleaning up of the property, as well as make a list of the projects that need done & supplies needed.
