Come visit The Alaska Cat Cafe in Wasilla and meet our adorable rescue kittens!
If you’ve ever wondered where your donations go, this is it. These little cuties need multiple rounds of vaccines and deworming, plus food, litter, spay/neuter surgeries, and around-the-clock care until they find their forever homes. Our rescue efforts—and those of the local organizations we partner with—depend on this support.
Stop by the café for coffee, drinks, and treats (no reservation needed), then spend time in the Cat Lounge with the adoptable cats and kittens. Lounge visits are limited for the cats’ comfort, so reservations are strongly recommended. Every visit, purchase, and donation helps cover real costs and saves lives.
📍 340 N. Lucille Street, Wasilla, AK

Meet ASTORIA. She is a super "spicy" kitty. Just over a year old. She has been patiently waiting 6 months for a furrrever home. She gets along great with other cats and kittens. If you are looking for a friend for your kitty she would be a great addition. She will not give you snuggles and cuddles (at least not yet) but she deserves a chance. She only needs a litter box and a corner in your home that she can call her own. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots including rabies. Her adoption fee has been generously donated by Navigate Accounting Service, so there is no fee for you to adopt her. She will come with a months supply of food and litter as well. Please contact The Alaska Cat Cafe if you are interested in taking this girl home today.

Sorry for asking and please consider a donation of cat litter....

🚨 WE NEED CAT LITTER—WE ONLY HAVE FOUR LITTER LOADS LEFT! 🚨

Our community showed up in an incredible way during our recent food drive. Thanks to you, our cats now have enough food to last through the rest of the summer! We were even able to donate food that our foster cats could not eat to Clear Creek Cat Rescue when they were in need. That is what rescue is all about—helping one another whenever we can. ❤️

Now, we desperately need help with something we have not had to ask for in a very long time: cat litter.

The donations received by our nonprofit rescue arm, The Cat Cottage, have gone primarily toward medical care for the kittens and cats who come through our doors. Those medical reserves are now nearly depleted, and we are hesitant to spend the last of those funds on litter when another sick or injured kitten may need emergency care tomorrow.

We have also begun a beautiful partnership with another nonprofit rescue. They are entrusting us with cats and kittens who need loving homes, and we have committed to providing all of their food, litter, housing, and daily care while they are with us. Our goal is to open our doors to any reputable rescue group willing to work with us to find these beautiful animals safe, loving homes as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, The Cat Cottage has been denied for most of the grants we have applied for since opening. Even the help we were hoping to receive from Home Depot for our upstairs expansion remodel never materialized. That expansion would allow us to welcome more visitors, house more cats, and complete more adoptions—but we continue doing everything we can with the resources we have.

The Alaska Cat Cafe donates 100% of its profits, whenever there are profits, to The Cat Cottage and other rescue organizations needing help caring for cats and kittens. This truly is a labor of love.

Right now, the need is simple and urgent:

🐾 We need cat litter.

Even one box, bag, or package of litter would make a meaningful difference. If you can find it in your heart—and your budget—to help us right now, we would be incredibly grateful.

Please share this post, even if you are unable to donate. Sharing helps more than you may realize. ❤️🐾

Ms. Resee Puff was adoption #158 today! 😻

This sweet 8-year-old girl has been on loan to The Alaska Cat Cat The Alaska Cat Cafe for the past few weeks, quietly winning hearts in her own gentle way. Ms. Puff was never one to cause a fuss — she simply enjoyed sitting back, observing everything around her, and living her best life, usually from her favorite spot on the couch in the cat lounge.
She was patient. She was quiet. She was waiting.
And today, she found her family. 💕
We are so happy for you, Ms. Puff! We wish you a long, cozy, happy life in your furrever home. You deserve every bit of love coming your way. 🐾
