Join us for a tour of the historic Old Burying Ground, 89 Meyers Road, this Sunday, June 14th, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Held in conjunction with the many other America 250 events around town this weekend. There is also a historical walk at the Land Trust's Three Sisters Preserve earlier the same day at 10:00 am. Come hear the stories about some Bethany veterans of the Revolutionary War, such as Lieutenant Titus Peck, who died in service to his country in 1776. Parking is limited along the gravel section of Meyers Road, so carpool if you can.

Please join us for an open house at the Bethany Historical Society, 512 Amity Road, on Saturday, June 13th, 12:00 - 3:00 pm. See the many photographs, displays and artifacts about the history of our town. Held in conjunction with the America 250 events in Bethany which includes both churches and the library open for the same hours. This in in addition to the Red, White & Blue 5k race at 9:00 am and the food, music, activities and games at the Town Hall 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Come make a day of it!

Save the dates - June 13 & 14, 2026! Bethany is planning a number of events to celebrate America's 250th Birthday. Red, White & Blue 5K, food, music, games, open houses at churches, library, historical society & old schoolhouse. 250th quilt with artwork from BCS students will be on display at various locations. Also Land Trust hike, Old Burying Ground tour and Passport to Bethany challenge. Finally a bell ringing ceremony at Veterans Park at 2:00 pm on July 4th. Custom "Bethany Celebrates America" cowbells are on sale now at Town Hall. Mark your calendars now!
