Bayer is one of many companies that continues to exploit, torture, and kill animals in cruel experiments. With the closure of Ridglan Farms, a beagle breeding mill that was breeding and selling puppies to labs to be experimented on, the world is now talking about and fighting to end ALL animals experimentation! No animals - dogs, cats, rats, pigs, mice, fish, and insects - should be used for painful and cruel experiments! End animal testing!

Have you ever found an animal in need and not had anything with you to be able to help them? Having an animal rescue kit can be incredibly useful for emergencies. At this event you will get to assemble your own rescue kit with all the essential materials you’ll need to help animals you may come across.

All materials for the kits will be provided! Please sign up at dxe.io/kit so I can make sure to get enough materials!

Nicole and Rhita, two incredible wildlife rescue volunteers with Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue, will be teaching us about what to do and what not to do if we find an animal, and what each item in the kit is most useful for.

Pigeons in cities often get string, hair, and debris tangled around their feet. This material often gets tighter over time and can cause swelling, infection, and even amputation.
Activists went to downtown San Francisco and helped several pigeons who were struggling with string foot.

🕊 Join us Sunday, August 30, 10 AM–2 PM at Jolene’s Retreat Animal Sanctuary in Occidental, CA, for a Sanctuary Workday with heart—and purpose. 💚

Make sure to bring your rubber boots or old shoes, clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and a sunny attitude as we roll up our sleeves and help the animals. There will be different jobs so come no matter your abilities. There will be a mandatory waiver to sign upon arrival.

Spending time with the animals we are working to liberate is not only good for your mental health and well being but it reinforces our commitment to the cause.

**Delicious food will be served for lunch at the sanctuary**

Sally, Carla, Taj, and Joe are facing up to 6.5 years in prison for rescuing two sick, baby goats named Phoebe and Celia from a factory farm of over 9,000 goats called Vera Goat Dairy. Vera exploits goats for their milk which they sell to Meyenberg Goats’ Milk brand.

We’ll have a ten foot tall Meyenberg Milk Carton with images from its “dead pile” where they mound baby and mother goats in a pile where their bodies are eaten by local dogs - as these investigators captured on hidden video cameras. We will do a “die-in” around it to bring attention to this goat graveyard.

Please join us for this nonviolent, public property, 1st amendment protected protest.

Animal rescuers and advocates protested at Petco’s Sloat St location in San Fransisco to demand that the company end all animal sales. Petco buys animals from breeding mills where thousands of animals languish and many die before they ever reach the store. Animals are not merchandise and breeding mills should not exist.
Learn more and get involved at dxe.io/adoptdontshop !
