Unfortunately, we will not be serving tomorrow.

I will be at the Bennington Farmers Market and had planned to coordinate our weekly serve as well, but we did not have any volunteers sign up through our volunteer site. After much discussion, we made the difficult decision to cancel this week’s outreach.

This is heartbreaking for us because we know there are people who count on these meals and conversations each week. At the same time, we’ve realized we need to do a better job communicating just how important our volunteer sign-up system is. We never want to assume people know the need—every volunteer truly makes a difference.

If you’ve ever thought about serving with Hope 402, please know that your willingness to show up matters more than you may realize. One person can make a huge impact, and together we can continue providing meals, hope, and connection to our neighbors in need.

What a great night with our small group! We spent the evening at our storage unit sorting through clothing and getting everything better organized. I’m so grateful for this group and their willingness to jump in and serve alongside us. It’s amazing what can be accomplished when people come together with a heart to help others.

Last night was such a special evening for Hope 402.

I had the honor of meeting with Bread for the Journey and sharing our mission of serving our unhoused neighbors and helping families facing food insecurity through our No Questions Asked Food Pantry.

I am incredibly grateful to have been selected for a grant and welcomed into the Bread for the Journey family. Their belief in Hope 402 and the work we are doing means more than I can put into words.

What started as a simple desire to help others has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined, and it’s only possible because of the amazing community that continues to support us. Every volunteer, donor, partner, and person who shares our mission has helped make this possible.

Thank you, Bread for the Journey, for believing in Hope 402. We are excited for what this partnership will mean for the people we serve and can’t wait to see what God has planned next.

Hope 402 Update 💙

We’ve had a lot going on this month, and we are so grateful for the incredible support from our community! Our food drive was a success, but the need continues and we could still use some help stocking our pantry.

Current pantry needs:
🥫 Canned chicken
🥫 Canned tuna
🥫 Canned ham
🥫 Canned beef
🥫 Peanut butter
🥫 Canned vegetables
🥫 Canned fruit
🍚 Rice
🍝 Pasta & pasta sauce
🥣 Soup
🫘 Beans
🥣 Mac & cheese
🥣 Instant potatoes
🍪 Crackers & snacks
🥛 Shelf-stable milk

For this weekend’s serve, we also need:
🌭 Hot dogs
🌭 Hot dog buns
🥔 Individual bags of chips

Every donation helps us continue serving our neighbors with dignity through our no-questions-asked pantry and street outreach.

What a busy weekend! Between the food drive, outreach, and everything else Hope 402 had going on, I am definitely feeling it today. 😴

It’s back to work this morning, then a grant meeting this evening, and after that I plan to spend some quality time with my wonderful bed! 😂

I’m tired, but so thankful for all the support, volunteers, and donations that help us keep serving our community. ❤️

Today was a HUGE success! ❤️

We are incredibly grateful for the love, support, and generosity shown at our food drive today. Because of this amazing community, our pantry shelves will be stocked and we’ll be able to continue serving individuals and families through our no-questions-asked food pantry and outreach efforts.

Every donation, every conversation, and every act of kindness makes a difference.
