We are two and a half weeks away from Rally Sunday—a time when we welcome back fall programming with two worship services, Sunday School, and more.

This past Sunday, Pastor Jim reminded us that one person cannot revitalize the Church. But one person can use their gifts to inspire others. Those inspired people can then use their gifts. Eventually, enough people—each using the gifts God has given them—bring life to the church. God needs each of us to do our part by using the gifts we have been given.

As we begin this new season, consider how you might share your gifts—whether through teaching, music, service, or simply showing up with a welcoming heart. Together, we can make this year a vibrant expression of God’s love at St. John’s.

Sunday, August 9th we had a backpack blessing, teacher appreciation and back to school cookout!😃🍎🍔🌭🎒📚🖍️✏️

What a wonderful day we shared yesterday at St. John’s! As the new school year begins, our children brought their backpacks forward for a special blessing, and we took time to recognize and thank all teachers for the incredible work they do.

To top off the morning, our church council hosted a joyful cookout after worship—complete with burgers, hot dogs, and all the fixings. Thank you to everyone who helped plan and serve, and thank you to all who joined us for this meaningful day.

We continue to pray for a great school year ahead and for the teachers who guide and inspire our children.

This Sunday, we’d love for you to join us for worship at 9:30am as we kick off the school year together! After worship, our church council will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs, and we invite you to bring a side dish or dessert to share.

We’ll have co****le and other fun games for all ages — a great chance to relax, laugh, and enjoy good fellowship.
