👻🏃‍♀️ A SPOOKTACULAR START TO THE WEEKEND! 🎃❄️

It was a frosty morning at Lake Zorinsky, but that didn’t stop a little family fun!

The Bennington Buzz Executive Director & Lead Reporter Marisa Dawson and Board President Cynthia Snoderly traded in their newsroom duties for running shoes this morning, joining their kids for the Spooky Sprint 5K! 🏅

At The Bennington Buzz, we believe being part of the community is just as important as reporting on it! ❤️

Congratulations to everyone who braved the chilly temperatures for some spooky fun!

🥎 Friendly Rivalries, Family Connections & Community Support! 🚒🚔

Firefighters and law enforcement officers traded emergency calls for softball bats Sunday, Oct. 11, during Blair's expanded softball showdown tournament, featuring teams from Douglas County Fire, Washington County Fire, Blair Fire and Blair law enforcement. Bennington players made up portions of several of the teams.

The tournament raised funds to help the Blair Youth Softball Association purchase a new scoreboard, while bringing first responders together for some friendly competition. Douglas County Fire claimed the championship and took home the custom trophy, with plenty of Bennington connections on both sides of the field!

From coworkers facing off to a family competing on opposing teams, the afternoon was about more than winning. ❤️
