🚨 Bennington Buzz Needs Your Help 🚨

Local journalism doesn’t happen on its own.

As Bennington Buzz continues to grow, so does the need for dedicated community members willing to step up and help ensure Bennington has access to reliable, independent local news and information.

Right now, we have several critical volunteer opportunities that need to be filled:

📝 Board of Directors Secretary (Immediate Opening)
Our Board currently has a vacant Secretary position that is essential to the governance and operation of our nonprofit organization. If you’re organized, dependable, and looking to make a meaningful impact in the community, we need to hear from you.

🤝 Committee Members
From fundraising and community outreach to events, marketing, and special projects, our committee volunteers are the backbone of many of our initiatives. Whether you can give a few hours a month or want to become more involved, your help matters.

📸 Freelance Journalists & Community Contributors
There are more stories happening in Bennington than our small team can cover alone. We’re looking for writers, photographers, storytellers, and community members who want to help shine a light on the people, events, businesses, schools, and organizations that make our community special.

This is your chance to be part of something bigger than yourself and help strengthen the future of local journalism in Bennington.

📅 Next Board Meeting: Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, please don’t wait. Complete the interest form below before our next meeting and let’s start the conversation!

We’ll stay in the Eastern Midlands Conference. When the new high school opens in 2028-29, both schools are projected to be Class B.

🎭 Stories came to life at the Bennington Library last week!

As part of the library's "Unearth a Story" Summer Reading Program, cast members from Bennington Community Theatre's recent production of "The Addams Family Young@Part" treated families to a special performance, taught kids choreography from the show, and answered questions from the audience.

The event highlighted the power of community partnerships while giving children a free opportunity to experience the arts up close.

💙 One decision can save up to eight lives.

Most people never see what happens behind the scenes of organ donation. Bennington resident Tisa Kreikemeier does.

As an organ recovery nurse, she travels across the Pacific Northwest helping coordinate life-saving organ donations during some of life's most difficult moments. Her story offers a rare look at the incredible work, compassion, and dedication involved in giving others a second chance at life.
