In preparation for our 4th Annual Anti-Bullying Back to School Bash, I’m asking for the support of our community.

For the past three years, we have been able to host this event completely free for families, with most of the cost coming out of pocket. And I understand, this is something I choose to do. But I choose to do it because I feel so strongly about our children, our community, and this mission.

This event is about more than bookbags and school supplies. It is about bullying prevention, confidence, kindness, mental health, conflict resolution, healthy outlets, and connecting families with resources they may not even know are available. It is about reminding our children that they matter, that they are supported, and that violence is not the only way to handle hurt, anger, or conflict. Sadly, my child is not the only child that has been bullied, and if we don’t do anything, she won’t be the last.

Nah’Zia’s Corner will continue doing this work because our children deserve safe spaces, support, encouragement, and opportunities to grow.

So today, I’m asking everyone who sees this post to consider donating $10 toward our 4th Annual Anti-Bullying Back to School Bash. Every dollar helps us provide school supplies, food, activities, resources, and a positive experience for the children and families who attend.

Week 3 of Nah’Zia’s Corner Safe Space Club was all about learning that “I Am Unique, I Am Enough, and I Belong.”

Tonight, our children talked about self-love, confidence, accepting differences, and what it means to make others feel included. We also did a tie-dye activity to remind them that just like every shirt is different, every child is special in their own way.

No two designs were the same, and that was the message. We are all different, but we all belong.

Nah’Zia’s Corner is more than a program. It’s a safe space for our children to learn, grow, express themselves, and be reminded that they matter.

I also want to take a moment to thank my volunteers: Jennie Weatherly, Kesha Young, and my mom, Donuel Smith. Week after week, they show up, help with every activity, and support me in anything I need. I truly couldn’t do this without them 💜

✨ 4th Annual Anti-Bullying Back to School Bash ✨

Y’all… it’s that time again 💜
Nah’Zia’s Corner is proud to host our 4th Annual Anti-Bullying Back to School Bash and we’re so excited to give back to our community once again!

This event is FREE for our community and we’re coming bigger and better this year!

✨ What we’ll have:
• FREE clear bookbags & school supplies
• Water slides for the kids
• Mental health & community resources
• Guest speakers
• Live DJ
• FREE food
• And so much more!

This is more than just a back-to-school event… this is about creating a safe space, spreading awareness, and reminding our kids that they matter, they are loved, and they are not alone 💜

We do this in honor of Nah’Zia and every child who deserves to feel safe and supported.

💜 Nah’Zia’s Corner After-School Safe Space 💜

We are officially in motion and excited to welcome our youth into a FREE after-school safe space held at:

📍 Bennettsville Community Center
🗓️ Mondays
⏰ 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

This is a once-a-week safe space where kids can come, unwind, and just be themselves in a supportive, positive environment.

We will focus on:
• Talking about bullying and real-life situations
• Learning healthy ways to cope with emotions
• Building confidence and self-esteem
• Fun activities, journaling, and group discussions
• Creating a space where no child feels alone

This isn’t just a program… it’s a safe place for our babies 🤍

Idk… the closer it gets to the holidays, the heavier everything feels. I get flooded with memories of Zi, our traditions, our laughs, the way she lit up our whole world. I’ve been trying to figure out how to carry her name, her spirit, and her love forward.

But I’m not satisfied with doing something once a year.
I’m not satisfied watching parents suffer in silence.
I’m not satisfied watching our kids hurt, ignored, dismissed, or bullied until they break.

I refuse to let Zi’s name fade.
I refuse to let her story be just another tragedy people talk about for a moment and move on from.

This is bigger than her.
This is bigger than me.
This is about every single child who has been hurt, overlooked, or unprotected in a place where they should have been safe.

I’m taking this fight to the Superintendent.
To the School Board.
To our State Representatives.
And to anyone who has the power to make REAL change in these school systems.

I’m fighting for mandatory investigation timelines.
I’m fighting for accountability.
I’m fighting for protections for kids with disabilities.
I’m fighting for every child who didn’t get help when they needed it.

This is my life’s mission now.
And if you’ve been through it… if your child has been bullied… if your voice has been ignored… I want you to know you are not alone.

I’m asking for your support, your stories, and your prayers as I push for “Nah’Zia’s Law.”
A law that will protect our babies before it’s too late.
A law that will make sure what happened to my daughter never happens to someone else’s.

💜💙🖤 Nah’Zia’s Corner is planning something BIG, and we want YOU to be a part of it!

We’re in the very early stages of organizing our very first Walk Against Bullying, a community event to raise awareness, spread kindness, and stand together against bullying.

We’re thinking of hosting the walk downtown or in another visible location so the community can see us step up and speak out. 👟💪

Some ideas we’re considering:
🚶 A short, family-friendly walk (1–2 miles) with signs, t-shirts, and wristbands in our colors (purple, blue, and black).
🎤 Guest speakers and survivor stories to open and close the walk.
💙 “Pledge Wall” where participants commit to standing against bullying.
🌟 Awareness stations along the route with facts, encouragement, and kindness cards.
🎉 Recognition for biggest teams, most spirited walkers, and local sponsors who join in.

Now we need your input:

👉 Do you know of a good visible location we could use?
👉 Would you be willing to volunteer, sponsor, or help spread the word?
