Motherhood is a journey where the days feel long and the years are short, yet the love poured into each moment leaves an imprint that lasts a lifetime.

Today we honor our beautiful mothers — those who guide our steps, watch ahead for danger, and pour themselves into others without hesitation. From mothers by birth to grandmothers, godmothers, and every mother figure who stands in the gap, your love is the foundation upon which we stand.

We also hold space for our sisters experiencing the complexity of joy and grief on this day. For those navigating their own experience of becoming a mother, and those missing the presence of theirs — we see you, we are you, and we love you.

To every woman who has ever loved like a mother: your journey has paved the path we walk today. Anchored in the legacy you have built and evolving with the intention you have modeled, we carry you with us in every step forward. Happy Mother's Day!

April 15th is Global Arts Day! Today, we celebrate the arts in its many forms, textures, and mediums. Art has been a part of Delta’s story since its inception from Sorority songs and storytelling to prose and literature. At present, we actualize our appreciation for the Arts through our National Arts and Letters Commission who channels our Sorority’s work through creativity and expression.

Let us continue to create spaces for arts education and engagement, so that we may continue to advocate for freedom of expression and tell Delta Sigma Theta’s story in more innovative ways.

We encourage you to repost this and share how you’ll carry your own creativity forward through the Arts! 🔺

Congratulations to our very own award-winning actress, producer, record label president, author, style icon, and Honorary Member, Queen Latifah, on her selection as a 2026 inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

A Grammy Award-winning artist for her hit “U.N.I.T.Y.,” Queen Latifah’s dedication to music and the arts continues to exemplify unity, empowerment, and cultural impact. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame celebrates the music that connects us all, and she stands as a true reflection of that mission.

As the original female hip-hop superstar, she used her voice to deliver powerful, feminist messages while breaking barriers for women across the entertainment industry. We are continuously proud of the impactful work and service you exemplify!

The economic landscape has shifted, rising costs, job market disruptions, and persistent wage gaps have raised the stakes for Black women especially. In 2025 alone, almost 300,000 Black women suffered employment loss. Financial knowledge isn't optional for us; it's survival and it's our superpower.

This year's Financial Fortitude Month will focus on financial skill‑building for every challenge, redefining each obstacle as an opportunity to build something stronger. That is exactly what financial resilience looks like.

Be sure to view the Financial Fortitude calendar for weekly themes and actionable steps geared toward unlocking the financial literacy playbook to secure financial wellness for you, your family, and generations of Black families and communities to come.
