Riesel Indian Fishing Club is graduating its first senior in the Class of 2026. Bruce Ehlers, Jr. will be graduating May 22, 2026 along with fellow seniors. Bruce is a born and raised Riesel Indian. As a club we want to honor and recognize Bruce’s achievements and accomplishments at Riesel High.

As the President of the Riesel Indian fishing club, Bruce has been an important member that has continually supported strong leadership and the mentorship of our younger members. His hobbies include working on trucks, fishing, and the lake. His favorite memories with his classmates at Riesel are “just hanging at the lake.” On the football field, he’s been on all sides of the ball. A Varsity Letterman playing Offensive Line, Defensive Line and Special Teams Kicker. Bruce is also a member of the PALS program, FCA and this year was chosen to participate in the FCA Victory Bowl. After graduation, he will attend TSTC to become an Electrical Lineman. Congratulations Bruce Ehlers, Jr.! Thank you for your commitment to RISD and its community, and our fishing team. We are praying for your continued success in your next steps.

Tomorrow, Longhorn Nation will wear pink, in memory of our friend. 🎀

She was one of our littlest Longhorn fans, but definitely had the biggest heart. She will absolutely never be forgotten. Fly high, sweet Kaisa! 💖🤘🏼

Way to represent Riesel Indian Fishing Club at the NextGen Texas Tournament Trail SEASON FINALE CHAMPIONSHIP!

Team C**t Lessman-Brody Taylor with Captain Kieth Taylor reeled in 1st place JH Champions!!

Team George Hagar-Mason Summers with Captain Kyle Dowdle snatched that 2nd place JH Champions title!!

Huge Shout out to our one and only all girl team Addy Macy- Katie Lessman with Captain Josh Lessman for finishing the tournament and making scale!!

We are so very proud of all of you and very thankful for every captain investing their time in our youth!
