Flashback Thursday 😃🚴
Another look back at last Saturday’s bike race with the Belton Lions Club!

Our volunteers had a great time supporting riders at the 30-mile rest stop. After seeing that route firsthand, we have even more respect for everyone who took on the challenge!

One highlight from the day was seeing volunteers put their firefighter rehab skills into action while caring for cyclists at the rest stop. Along with monitoring the health of the cyclists as they stopped, volunteers provided wet cooling towels to help them cool off — something many cyclists said they had never experienced before and truly appreciated.

Thanks to all the cyclists and volunteers who made it such a fun day serving the community.

Belton CERT is proud to be supporting the annual Lions Club Bike Race the “STAMPEDE on the CHISHOLM TRAIL”, by operating a rider rest stop along the route. From hydration and snacks to encouragement and smiles, our volunteers are helping keep participants fueled and moving safely throughout the event.

Such a great day to be outside and doing a bike ride. 🚴‍♂️🚴🚴‍♀️
