🏆 Bryan Club JYOY/YOY Competition! 🏆

Last night, we held our Junior Youth of the Year (JYOY) and Youth of the Year (YOY) competition at the Bryan Club, and words cannot express how proud we are of every single member who participated! We heard some truly amazing, jaw-dropping speeches and were blown away by the confidence, passion, and dedication our members displayed.

We had 6 Junior Youth of the Year participants and 3 Youth of the Year participants, and every single one of them should be proud of what they accomplished. While they are all winners in our eyes, we could only select one winner in each category.

With that being said, CONGRATULATIONS to our JYOY winner, Dayrelis! 🎉 Dayrelis is a Club kid through and through! She consistently demonstrates outstanding leadership and a strong commitment to both our Club and our community. We are so proud of you!

CONGRATULATIONS to our YOY winner, Josie! 🎉 Josie has shown tremendous growth within the Club and is a perfect example of what hard work, dedication, and persistence can accomplish. We are incredibly proud of you and all that you have achieved!

Dayrelis and Josie, we know your futures are bright, and we cannot wait to see all the amazing things you accomplish!

We also want to give a SPECIAL THANK YOU to our amazing judges, Mr. Parkert and Mrs. Contreras, who took on the honor and incredibly difficult task of selecting our winners. Thank you for giving your time and helping make this event so special!

A huge shout-out to Miss Jay from our Scholarship Team for working with our members and always providing the encouragement, guidance, and support they need to succeed. We also want to recognize Mr. Ricky, our Character and Leadership Director, for motivating, encouraging, and inspiring our teens to step up and participate in this incredible opportunity.

Last night was truly an amazing evening, and we could not be prouder of all our members. Your courage to step up, share your stories, and represent the Bryan Club speaks volumes about who you are!

Once a Club kid, always a Club kid! 💙 We are proud of every single one of you and grateful to have you as part of our Bryan Club family!

STAFF SPOTLIGHT:

Meet Ms. Jordan, she's been with the organization since the start of the new year and has quickly learned the ropes as to how we operate as a Club and as an Org.

Smart Moves, Journeys, Triple Play, you name it, she's always happy to jump in and help facilitate as needed.

"I like everything about working at Club. Finding new things to do with the members is what excites me most about being here! When I was a teen at Club, I enjoyed Career Launch and Keystone with Ms. J."

Jordan is fluent in the art of possibility, and we truly appreciate everything she has done!

BIG Congrats to your September Youth of the Month....Daniel! Daniel is a positive and respectful member who has been a consistent part of the Boys & Girls Club since 7th grade. Now a senior, Daniel has grown tremendously throughout his years at the Club. He continues to participate in activities, spend time with his peers, and make the most of the opportunities the Club provides. Congrats to our September Jr. Youth of the Month...Mi'Khye. Mi’Khye is a positive and hardworking member of the Boys & Girls Club who continues to grow as a young leader. He enjoys participating in Club activities, spending time with his peers, and taking advantage of opportunities to learn and grow. Mi’Khye brings a positive attitude to the Club and is always willing to participate and try new things. We are proud of his growth and excited to see what he accomplishes in the future. Yesterday, your very own Mr. Daniel was a guest speaker for a breakout session at our Nebraska Afterschool Conference in Kearney. The breakout session was on “Youth Voice” and the impact it has in our youth and afterschool programs. Big shoutout to Mr. Ricky for assisting me as well. 💚🐻💚
