This week, Brianne Schuler represented the 50 Mile March Foundation in Washington, D.C. at a national conference focused on improving support systems for veterans experiencing homelessness.

Brianne presented alongside Brandy Wallar from New Visions Homeless Services on the power of community collaboration in veteran services - sharing the story of the Omaha Area Veterans Alliance, how it was built, and the impact partnerships can have in supporting veterans in need.

As funding models continue to evolve, their presentation highlighted practical and replicable strategies communities can use to maximize resources, strengthen partnerships, and better engage unhoused veterans.

We’re proud to have been part of this important conversation and grateful for the opportunity to share the collaborative work being done to better serve those who served our country. 💙

This morning, we were incredibly honored to receive an impactful donation from Paul Davis of Omaha, who selected the 50 Mile March Foundation as one of the charities to support during their annual golf tournament.

Moments like these remind us that this mission is so much bigger than a march. The conversations, the stories, and the shared belief in serving veterans create connections that are powerful and lasting. Even brief moments of genuine support can fuel hope for those who need it most.

We are deeply grateful for business leaders and community partners who continue to rally around our mission and recognize the impact we are making in the lives of veterans facing mental health challenges and homelessness.

Memorial Day comes once a year, but the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform are a daily occurrence. Today, we honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country in defense of our freedoms.

We ask that you take a moment and join us today in thanks for these heroes. You may know one personally, you may not, but all of us owe a tremendous debt to those who have served with honor so that we can enjoy our liberty every day.
