At King Fights Cancer Foundation, we’ve seen that light in hospital rooms, in quiet moments and in families trying to get through the next moment.

This Earth Day reminds us how much the world around us matters, the air we breathe, the spaces we heal in and the future we’re fighting for. 🌎

April is Autism Awareness Month 🧩

At King Fights Cancer Foundation, we believe every child deserves to feel celebrated, seen and supported for exactly who they are.

Many of the children and families we meet are navigating more than one diagnosis. We’ve witnessed the strength and the incredible light that shines in every child no matter their journey.

Not all disabilities are visible.
But they deserve to be understood.

King’s journey is a reminder of this. While fighting blood cancer, you could not see what he was going through but he remained relentless. Today, he lives with a rare blood disease and it’s something that is not visible but just because you can’t see it, does not mean it’s not there.

This is why awareness, patience and understanding matter. Every child is facing something different and every story deserves compassion.

We stand with the autism community to:

💙 Celebrate differences
💙 Spread kindness

Some bonds aren’t built in easy moments, they’re built in the ones that test you.

Through every hospital visit and every unknown before, during and after four years of chemotherapy treatment, King’s siblings are always lovingly and patiently by his side.

At King Fights Cancer Foundation, we know that a cancer diagnosis or any chronic illness doesn’t only affect the patient, it impacts the entire family. For this reason, we always make sure his siblings are part of the good moments as they earned it alongside King on difficult days.

A special thank you to everyone who sees the siblings, include them and create space for them. Today we celebrate and honor all siblings and their unwavering support day in and day out.

There are moments in life that change you forever and for us, cancer was one of them.

King Fights Cancer Foundation was created from a place no family wants to be in; hospital rooms. There are long days, uncertain nights and the hope that tomorrow will be a better day.

But in the midst of it we also found something powerful, the impact of small acts of kindness.

A toy.
A game.
A moment of distraction.
A reason for a child to smile when everything around them feels heavy.

That’s why we do what we do.

King Fights Cancer Foundation exists to remind children and families facing unimaginable battles that they are not alone. Through toy donations, curated hospital kits and free resources for families, we’re turning adversity into action, one child, one family and one moment at a time.

Because cancer takes a lot but it will never take away our ability to give, to love and to show up for others.

Today we remember Joseph Maroney, a fellow Candlelighters NYC warrior who was only 18 years old and should still be here but was stolen from the world by cancer.

At seven years old, Joseph beat leukemia after undergoing a bone marrow transplant. A decade later, he was diagnosed with a secondary cancer, sarcoma.

Cancer is not rare and it is without a doubt not fair.

Cancer is a community no one ever chooses, yet the love we share and the pain we carry are beyond measure.

Treatment should not cause secondary cancer.

We will continue to advocate and fight for the research every child stolen and every child fighting deserves because no parent should ever have to experience this devastating, heartbreaking and unimaginable loss.

We send heartfelt condolences to the Maroney family.

A well deserved moment of gratitude for Amy and the Norwegian Christian Home & Health Center 🎗️✨💛

Your generosity donating toys, books, crayons, games, dolls, cars and stuffed animals means more than words can fully express. These aren’t just items; they’re comfort, distraction, joy and sparks of hope for children going through very tough times and spending their days, weeks and sometimes months in the hospital. A reminder that someone loves them and is thinking of them during these unimaginable times.

Because of each and every person that donated, these difficult hospital stays for treatment, procedures and surgeries are filled with smiles and a little lighter for the patient, guardians and hospital staff.

We are truly grateful for your continuous kindness, dedication and commitment year after year. Blessings to all.

🎗️🎗️🎗️September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️🎗️🎗️

🎗 Every year, 400,000 children worldwide are diagnosed with cancer, 3 every 4 minutes.

🎗 Even after beating cancer, 95% of survivors face serious health issues by age 45, and 1 in 10 develop a second cancer.

🎗 Survivors are also 2.7× more likely to face life-threatening conditions years earlier than the general population.

🎗️Life expectancy is still improving but survivors treated in the 1990s still average only about 57 years, versus ~80 for the general population

🎗️Why was gold the color chosen for the ribbon? Because gold is rare, precious, and strong just like the children.

This September, let’s Go Gold to honor the warriors, remember the angels, and fight for a brighter future. Children deserve less toxic treatments and deserve to grow up!
