Hey friends! Two things! First, if you are attending RuCo Pride tomorrow in Murfreesboro at Oaklands Park (2-8 pm) stop and support Vanessa Young with her Crochet Creations! She will booth #57 so you will walk past her when entering Oaklands! Free parking down Maney Ave before you get to Oaklands! CB will also be there as a candidate at booth 39 or 22! This is always one of the most fun events, and is totally free for the community. Come connect to lots of wonderful folks doing good work in Murfreesboro and Middle TN.

Local art reception, THIS Sunday! Sharing because I know you all will appreciate - Come enjoy beautiful plein air artworks this weekend at the Arts Center of Cannon Co. from the Murfreesboro Plein Air artits. There are 8 artists represented in the show and our works span 2025-2026 with most subjects from Middle and East TN.

All are welcome to join us, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm, this Sunday.

This year we are highlighting our Bell Buckle Arts Council artists each month and first up is the wonderful sculpture and mixed media artist Linda Robertson Gaines! Linda has been on the arts council for many years, and displays her work at the Webb Craft Fair in Bell Buckle every October. She won first place in the sculpture category at the 2025 BB Craft Fair (first photo)!

From Linda, "My primary form of art is assemblage art. In that I use recycled metals and discarded items and reimagine them into something else. In recent days I have decided to come out of my comfort zone and try my hand at papier mache and clay. I also like to paint faces and people.

I have a small gallery on the back of my property, Copper Daisy Art, that I display my art as well as other local artists. Artists and lovers of art are always welcome! My gallery is by appointment only during the winter months, an can usually be set for the same day most of the year. Reach out to me to set up an appointment or come see is during the May 2nd Art Crawl!"

Update for our artists & those interested in joining - we moved our monthly meeting from April 7th to April 15th (Wednesday) from 6:00 - 7:00 pm and are meeting virtually.
