Last night, Rockfield Manor invited the individuals, organizations, and community partners who supported their Capital Campaign to a special plaque dedication ceremony celebrating their beautiful building expansion.

We were honored to see our club recognized among the supporters who helped make this project possible. A special thank you to Greg and Libby for representing our club at the event and helping celebrate this exciting milestone for Rockfield Manor.

Strong communities are built through meaningful partnerships, and events like this remind us what can be accomplished when local organizations come together to support a shared vision. The expansion is a wonderful addition to our community, and we are proud to have played a small part in helping bring this vision to life. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this project a success!

Congratulations to Rotary members Nick Champagne and Alex Necker on graduating from Harford Leadership Academy Thursday night!

We are proud of Nick and Alex’s commitment to leadership and personal growth, and we’re excited to see all the great things they’ll continue to accomplish in our community.

Adding to the celebration, our very own Rotary President-Elect, Alex Necker, had the honor of serving as the guest speaker for the evening.

It was a wonderful night recognizing leadership, service, and the bright future ahead. Congratulations, Nick and Alex!

It was a busy and meaningful week for our Rotary Club! 💙💛

At Wednesday’s meeting, we enjoyed hearing Deleila’s classification talk and learning more about her personal and professional journey. We also had the privilege of recognizing the children of several of our Rotarians who graduated this week—a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their hard work and accomplishments.

Then on Thursday evening, several of our members volunteered at Welcome One, where we helped serve dinner and give back to our community.

From celebrating achievements to serving others, this week was a great reminder of what Rotary is all about: fellowship, service, and making a difference.

Our special guest at this week’s Rotary Club meeting was Professional Auctioneer Lynne Zink. She told us all about her fascinating 25-year career and even helped us raise money for our foundation. It was a really fun and entertaining meeting!

Yesterday at Rotary, we had the pleasure of hearing from Sarah Walter of Walter Advocacy, an organization dedicated to supporting children and families as they navigate complex educational and behavioral systems.

Walter Advocacy provides guidance through processes like IEP development, behavioral interventions, and building independent life skills. Their approach focuses heavily on positive reinforcement strategies and breaking down tasks and concepts into manageable steps—helping children succeed in meaningful and individualized ways. They work closely with individuals, families, and organizations to implement customized supports tailored to each child’s unique needs.

It was an incredibly informative presentation that highlighted the importance of advocacy, collaboration, and empowering families to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.

While it’s good to embrace today and look forward to the future, it’s also important to honor and celebrate what got us to where we are now. Recently the Bel Air Rotary Club had a dinner celebrating the past presidents who are still members of our club. They shared stories about their years of service, laughed and had a wonderful night of reflection. And they’re still volunteering, contributing and setting a wonderful example for us all!
