💗 Service in Action! 💗

Last night, our Bel Air Rotary members came together for our monthly service project, and this one was especially meaningful.

We spent the evening putting together hundreds of support bags for Breast Friends of Bel Air, an incredible organization supporting women navigating their breast cancer journey.

Their mission is to uplift, empower, and connect individuals through shared experiences and valuable resources, and we were honored to play a small part in helping them continue that mission. 💕

It’s amazing what can happen when a group of people comes together with a shared heart for service. Hundreds of bags, countless women supported, and a whole lot of love packed into each one. 🎀

This is what Rotary is all about: Service Above Self. 💙

Bel Air Rotary Club was out in force this morning volunteering at the Catch-a-Pig 5k to raise funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford & Cecil Counties - including Erin Pyles who served as a “momma pig!”

🌟 July was a great month for Bel Air Rotary! 🌟

We had a wonderful month filled with inspiring guest speakers, meaningful conversations, and the excitement of welcoming a new member to our Rotary family!

We were pleased to hear from Marlene Butler, who shared about Christ Our King Presbyterian Church’s Thanksgiving Giving Boxes Program, and Dr. Elise Murphy, an acupuncturist, who gave us an interesting look into her work and the ways acupuncture can support health and wellness.

We were also excited to officially induct our newest member, Pat Chambers! 🎉 We are thrilled to welcome Pat to Bel Air Rotary and look forward to all the ways he will contribute to our club and our community.

Thank you to all of our speakers, members, and guests who continue to make Bel Air Rotary such a wonderful place to connect, serve, and make a difference. 💙💛

Service Above Self was on full display at this month’s Bel Air Rotary service project!

A group of Bel Air Rotarians, along with several family members and friends, spent the afternoon helping The Highlands School prepare for the upcoming school year. Together, we built teacher podiums, tackled gardening and landscaping projects, and filled a dumpster with items that were no longer needed, making the campus a little brighter and more ready to welcome students and staff back.

Rotary is about seeing a need in our community and stepping up to make a difference. Whether it’s lending a hand on a service project, supporting local organizations, or working together to improve the lives of others, we’re proud to put our motto, Service Above Self, into action.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and energy to make a positive impact!

Yesterday, several members of the Bel Air Rotary Club came together for a simple but meaningful service project—assembling birthday cake kits for A Door of Hope Outreach to stock in their food pantry.

Each kit included everything needed to celebrate a birthday, helping bring a little joy to families facing difficult times.

Something many of us may not think about is that for families struggling to put food on the table, celebrating birthdays can feel out of reach. A birthday cake may seem small, but to a child, it can mean feeling special, loved, and celebrated.

We hope these kits help bring smiles, happy memories, and a little extra joy to children and families in our community. Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest impact. 💙🎂

Yesterday, members of Bel Air Rotary came together to assemble birthday cake kits for A Door of Hope Outreach to keep stocked in their food pantry.

It’s easy to overlook something many families quietly face—when money is tight, celebrating milestones like birthdays can feel out of reach. For some parents, even a cake and candles can be an added expense they simply can’t manage.

These simple kits may seem small, but they represent so much more than cake and frosting. They offer families the opportunity to celebrate their children, create special memories, and bring smiles during difficult times.

Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference, and we’re grateful to play a small part in spreading a little joy in our community. ❤️
