Congratulations to Miss Kayla Hayden as the 2026 recipient of the Dolores H. Janifer Memorial Scholarship offered by the Harford County Z-HOPE Foundation, Inc. Miss Hayden is a graduate of Havre de Grace High School and will be continuing her education at Temple University pursing a Bachelor of Science degree in the Pre-Nursing program.

For over 50 years, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, in partnership with March of Dimes, has been committed to reducing infant mortality and ensuring healthier pregnancies through Stork’s Nest 💙👶🏾

This life-changing program provides prenatal education, resources, and incentives to encourage expectant mothers to seek early and consistent prenatal care, improving birth outcomes for Black mothers and babies.

Every mother deserves a safe, healthy pregnancy and a strong support system — and Stork’s Nest is here to help make that a reality. Participants enroll in our interactive self-paced prenatal education course and in return, the clients earn incentives such as maternity or baby care items through a variety of positive, health-promoting activities. There are more than 80 Nests throughout the country.
