✨ New Year. New Milestones. Big Hearts.✨

As we step into the New Year, we’re reflecting with gratitude on what God has already done through Love Like Nat Foundation 💛

This past year marked some huge benchmarks:

We were officially established with the State of Indiana as a nonprofit organization

We received our EIN

We were granted tax-exempt status

Most importantly, we honored Natalie in a way we know she would be proud of, by hosting our first fundraising event, a powerful Night of Worship, centered on faith, love, and community.
We were also humbled to receive our first application for assistance. A woman who had maintained over a decade of sobriety experienced a devastating loss and relapsed, something no one should ever have to endure. She courageously completed a residential level of care program and was accepted into a sober living home, but lacked the financial means to secure a bed.

Love Like Nat Foundation is honored to come alongside her and assist her as she continues her journey of recovery.
This is why we exist. This is Natalie’s legacy in action.💛

Grief is a mysterious thing. A loss like ours settles over you in a way that feels as if it changes you forever. It stays at the front of your mind, and yet—contradictorily—you’re blindsided by the shock all over again in the rare moments you forget they’re gone.

Still, we search for the good. Sometimes that’s all we can do. And of all the beautiful rays of light Natalie radiated, her ability to push forward in the darkness is the one we hold onto most tightly today.

Today marks two years since the calls that shattered our world. Two years since we sat in a hospital room hearing updates filled with hope, only to have that hope slowly stripped away. Conversations that felt like they were spoken in a foreign language. Organ donation. Funeral plans. Music. The sound of machines. Holding her hand and never wanting to let go.

It is only because Nat was so vocal, so bold, and so unwavering in her desire to make the world better that we’re able to keep going. We know—deeply and certainly—that this is what she wanted. So we move forward. Through pain, joy, tears, and triumphs, we keep choosing to LOVE LIKE NAT.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! 💛

Today, we are thankful for recovery. Thankful for the brave hearts choosing healing, for second chances, and for the strength it takes to keep going, even on the hardest days. Recovery is where hope lives, where light returns, and where new beginnings take root. We will always celebrate the courage it takes to begin and the resilience it takes to continue.
