It's that time of year again! The Annual Claude Akins Golf Scramble is September 5th & 6th and we need your help.

Volunteers help the photographer with various tasks during the event and the BRF makes a donation to the club. Each volunteer earns a $10 credit per shift worked.

This is not only a great fundraiser for the team, but helps us spread the word about our program!

Please join us in welcoming Kelsey Richards to LCA!

Hello LCA swimmers and families-
I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to serve the LCA team and community. I am a certified Elementary Teacher, and I taught in the classroom as a general education teacher for 11 years.

Last year, I decided to focus on helping individual students and small groups with their education, so I am now tutoring online. My husband, Zach Richards, and I moved from Alaska to Bloomington one year ago, and we have loved being closer to family and friends here.

I am a swimmer and an educator at heart, and I believe that one of my purposes in life is serving and helping others to be successful in working toward their goals and ambitions, while learning and having fun along the way.

I recognize that the journey looks different for everyone, and we all bring different strengths and skills to the team. I believe that we are lifelong learners, and it is my goal to learn more about each swimmer and how I can support them in their journey.

I look forward to getting started with our team this fall!

Reminder- Tomorrow is the Summer Season Awards Banquet at 6:30 pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall- located at 2202 M street.

All summer season participants in Red, White, Blue and Senior and their families are invited to attend. All swimmers will be recognized during the event.

The potluck dinner starts at 6:30 PM and awards will start by 7 PM. The main dishes, tableware and drinks will be provided. We're asking Red and White group to please bring a dessert and Blue and Senior group to please bring a side.

Volunteers Needed: We need one or two parents to help with setup before the event and to clean up after the event. If you're willing to help, please email [email protected].

Reminder- This is the last week of practice for all swim groups. The last practice for red & white group is Thursday evening and the last practice for blue and senior group is Friday morning.

🍭🍬 What a SWEET day at the Candy Crusher Classic! 🍬🍭

Our swimmers were absolutely the sweetest, the candy was delicious, and the races were a little wild from start to finish!
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this event happen. We hope you satisfied your sweet tooth and had as much fun as we did! We can't wait to do it again next year!

This is an all fun event- featuring crazy races and contests for all swim groups.

Admission is free and we encourage you to invite family and friends to attend and join in the fun!

The Candy Crusher Classic is an all-fun event featuring crazy races and contests! This event is for all swim groups- please have your swimmer at the pool by 7 pm on July 14th for the event. Admission is free and we encourage you to invite family and friends to attend and join in the fun!
