I wanted to share some good news! We received an $8,000 grant from the Lawrence County Community Foundation for the purchase of a storage shed to put all of our equipment in! This will open up some stalls for more horses, as well as make our equipment easier to access for both arenas! We’re beyond grateful! Our little community is blessed to have such an organization!!

🎡🐴 Before Fair Must-Knows! 🐴🎡

Fair week is almost here! Please take a few minutes to review these important reminders:

✅ 1. Club Work Day – July 2nd | 6:00-8:00 PM
We need all hands on deck to get our area ready for fair! If you can't attend that evening but would like an item to complete on your own beforehand, please let me know.

✅ 2. Club Dues
Club dues are still due. These must be paid at check-in in order to receive your club shirt. They are $10 per kid or $25 max per family.

✅ 3. Stall assignments have been posted and are written on the board in the barn. Please check your stall prior to fair and let us know if any repairs are needed. If we know about issues ahead of time, we can add them to our work day project list.

✅ 4. Fair Entry Deadline – June 22
Please make sure your entries are completed by June 22nd. If you need help with entries, don't hesitate to contact me.

🎵 5. Barn Theme
This year's barn theme is Music & Singers! Start planning your decorations now.

✅ 6. Pre-Registration – July 9th | 6:00-8:00 PM
If possible, come to the barn to:
• Bring your tack
• Decorate your stall
• Review your class list
• Pick up your club shirt

✅ 7. Animal Check-In – July 11th | 5:00 AM-11:00 AM
When you arrive:
• Check in at the barn
• Review your class list (if not completed during pre-registration)
• Visit the Community Building to receive your back number

🙋‍♀️ 8. Fair Volunteers Needed!
I am now taking volunteer sign-ups for:
• Gate workers
• Announcer's booth
• Ribbon coordinator
• Ring stewards
• Relief workers
• Runners

✅9. Alumni Showmanship show
This year the fair is hosting an alumni showmanship show. The cost is $10. Our club will receive half the entry fee. The class will take place at the end of our halter and showmanship class on Saturday evening. You must use a horse in our barn, however if you do not have a connection with a current 4-Her to use their horse, we will provide one for you! The winner will receive a belt buckle! Sign up and show these kids how it’s done folks!

It takes a lot of people to make our shows run smoothly, so we appreciate any help you can provide!

🎉 We are excited for fair and can't wait to see everyone there! Let's make it a great week!

More of day three!!! Riding, showmanship, on foot patterns, the first ever “Pete and Mallory on foot sweepstakes” (patterns on foot), and finished the evening with some contesting! Tonight we had the privilege of inviting back some past 4-H members to help! We enjoyed Savanna Russel and Grant Thorne! We were glad to have you back!

Day 3 of camp! It was a hot one, but we were able to get out of the heat for a little bit this afternoon! Check out Pete doing our on foot pattern!
