On Monday, September 21st, members of the Oregon Chapter of the American Communist Party gathered over I-205 in East Portland for a banner drop. Our banner read "We will not die for israel," joined by signs carrying the demands at the heart of our program: "End the Forever Wars," "Bring Back Industry," and "Cancel the Debt."

As patriotic Americans who love this country and the people of it, we refuse to see our compatriots sent to die in foreign imperialist wars fought for the profit of a ruling class that has never once put our communities first.

The response from passing drivers was overwhelming: honks, thumbs up, and shouts of agreement from working people who know exactly who pays the price for empire.
