This honor is presented to individuals who exemplify the highest standards of their profession and who, through their influence on the lives of young people under their direction, have made significant contributions to their school and community. Brad's leadership, dedication, and commitment to our student-athletes and programs truly embody this recognition.

In addition to this incredible achievement, Brad also received the Jim Rolfes Professional Development Award, which celebrates individuals who carry on Jim Rolfes's legacy by prioritizing growth, learning, and leadership in athletics.

Of all the recognition Coach Zink has deservedly earned from his accomplished career - this ranks as an all time achievement. Being associated with legendary coach, John Wooden is nothing short of spectacular.

🏀 Ed Zink Honored with the John Wooden Legacy Award! 🏀

This past weekend, Beavercreek’s own Ed Zink was awarded the John Wooden Legacy Award at the OHSAA Girls State Basketball Tournament. This prestigious honor is given to one male and one female coach in each state who exemplifies the leadership, character, and integrity that Coach Wooden embodied.

Zink, a Beavercreek native, retired in 2021 after an incredible 46-year coaching career, finishing with 810 wins, three Division I state championships, and countless accolades.

He remains Ohio’s all-time winningest coach in girls’ basketball history since it became a sanctioned sport in 1975-76.

Congratulations to our Girls Gymnastics team for an incredible 10th place finish at the State Championship! 🎉 This year was extra special, as it marked the first time since 1994 that the team qualified for state as a whole.

🌟 Alumni Spotlight: Dr. Alison Bales (BHS Class of 2003) 🌟

From the basketball court to the operating room, Alison Bales has had an incredible journey! 🏀✨ A two-time state champion with Beavercreek High School Women’s Basketball (2001 & 2003), she went on to play at Duke, competed professionally in the WNBA and overseas, and is now making a difference as a trauma surgeon at Miami Valley Hospital.

Now, back in Beavercreek, Alison is a proud mom of three and a strong supporter of youth and community sports through Bales Arena, a facility dedicated to basketball, volleyball, and pickleball. Her dedication to both athletics and medicine is truly inspiring! 👏

This past weekend at the OHSAA State Competition, Alex Drachuk (Junior) made waves! 🌊💪 He placed 2nd in the 200 free and was crowned STATE CHAMP in the 500 free with an incredible time of 4:31.63!

Last night, he was recognized for his incredible season with the Los Angeles Rams, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate his success.
