We’re kicking off a new cohort year! 🎉

We welcomed 40 students from the Community College of Beaver County, along with our incredible volunteer mentors, for a fun evening to connect as we prepare for the school year ahead.

We’re excited to see what this year brings for our 26/27 cohort! 💙

As we prepare for the school year ahead, we want to recognize the amazing nurses who volunteer their time to mentor our local nursing students!

They give our students encouragement, educational support and additional medical field knowledge to help them successfully complete nursing school!

Thank you all for giving back to your community!

Join us is wishing Daniela Del Rosario a huge congratulations on graduating from medical school at UNIBE!

Daniela was the first international student that Portage Community was able to support through her educational journey.

"This journey has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life, and I am incredibly grateful for the support and encouragement I received along the way. Your belief in me has meant more than you know. It has been an honor to represent the scholarship, and I hope to continue making you proud as I begin this next chapter in medicine." -Daniela Del Rosario

We are beyond proud of you Daniela and cannot wait to see all that you accomplish! 🎓🤍

It is great to see our students giving back to their communities! 💙

Earlier this year, our international student, Leyre, volunteered at our partner clinic in the Dominican Republic, Companero de Esperanza.

Take a look at her day!

Congratulations to Miguelina, our international student, on receiving her white coat!

This is a significant rite of passage in her educational journey, marking a transition from preclinical to clinical studies. We are so proud of Miguelina and her accomplishment!

On May 5th, we celebrated 18 of our local students who officially completed nursing school and received their nurse's pin.

This is a huge accomplishment, and we are so proud of these students for their hard work!

A large part of our program includes providing academic support and professional development to our students! This week, we held two sessions for our local program: one on NCLEX prep, and another on tips for interviewing and managing conflict/ stress on the job.

Thank you to our mentors who attended and taught the sessions!
