PAVE PAVE (Protect, Advocate, Validate, Educate) empowers those affected by domestic & sexual violence through advocacy, prevention, education, and safe shelter.

Serving Dodge County since 1978. 💜 24/7 Crisis Line: 920-887-3810 💜 PAVE serves victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Dodge County, WI. We do this using a three part approach - crisis services, community collaboration and prevention education. All of our services are free. Our crisis services are also confidential and available to both those that stay in shelter and to those that continue to live in the community. Our approach acknowledges the myriad of struggles facing those who have experienced trauma, focusing on supporting each victim/survivor's choices and educating them in options for a violence free future.

October is Bullying Prevention Month, and it's a good time to talk about what separates a one-time conflict from a pattern that needs attention.

When a child keeps coming home upset, it can be tempting to write it off as kids being kids. If it keeps happening, these steps can help:

▪️ Listen without blaming, and let your child tell the story in their own words.
▪️ Keep a record of what's happening and when.
▪️ Involve a teacher, counselor, or another adult your child trusts.
▪️ Connect your child or teen with additional help if they need it.

Many parents also wonder what to do when a child doesn't want anyone to know. You can honor those feelings while gently explaining that some situations call for a trusted adult's help.

What a night! 💜

Thank you to everyone who came out to Rock the Purple and showed your support for PAVE and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Seeing our community come together, wear purple, and support survivors and families in Dodge County meant so much to us.

A huge thank you to The Hill Tavern for hosting us and helping make the evening possible, and to Savin Money Band for keeping the night rocking! 🎶

We are so grateful to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and helped spread awareness.
