⚾️URGENT UPDATE🥎

Unfortunately, a facility use agreement for the 2026 season could not be reached. As a result, BCVRPD has decided to establish a new league that will create expanded opportunities for youth in our community. BYBSB fully supports this transition and will assist BCVRPD as needed to ensure a smooth and successful transition for families and players.

All existing registrations will be forwarded to BCVRPD to allow for continued participation in the new program.

⚾🥎 Player Evaluation FAQ’s

1️⃣ Who should attend evaluations?

✔️ Baseball: Any player playing in Pinto (7 & 8) and older
✔️ Softball: Any player playing in 8U and older

All players in these divisions must attend one (1) evaluation date.

2️⃣ If my player played last year, do they still need to attend evaluations?

Yes. Player skills develop and change over time. Evaluations help ensure we are using the most current skill level for proper team placement.

3️⃣ What is the purpose of evaluations?

Player evaluations are part of our team placement system.

• We do not hold a coach draft
• Players are evaluated and assigned a numerical value
• Those values are entered into a computerized draft system
• Teams are then balanced fairly based on those numbers

4️⃣ Who does the evaluating?

Evaluations are conducted by experienced coaches from our community, local high schools, and sometimes colleges.

They focus on mechanics over results.

👉 Example: They want to see how a player catches, not whether they catch every ball.

Please reassure players that mistakes are okay — evaluators want to see effort and fundamentals.

5️⃣ What if we can’t attend either evaluation date?

We offer two evaluation dates to accommodate families. Please make every effort to attend one.

Hi BYBSB Families,

We wanted to give you an update on the Fallball season. Teams and coaches have been rearranged, and your new coaches will be reaching out soon.

Most of the roster changes were made because some players were registered to the wrong division and therefore placed on an incorrect age division team. As a reminder, BYBSB Fall Ball uses a player’s Spring division to prepare them for the upcoming season.

It’s very important to double-check that your player is in the correct division.

New coaches have been advised to contact families as quickly as possible.

👉 If you have not heard from your coach by 9/11, please email us at [email protected].

We are also in the process of adding teams to SportsPlus. You can log in to your account and see what team your player is registered on.

⚾ Please note — we are still in need of coaches for Pony and Bronco divisions. If you are interested, please email us right away at the address above.
