🌞 What a fantastic start to summer at the Boys & Girls Club!

✨ Our Summer Kick-Off Party was filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of sunshine! We enjoyed a cook-out lunch, played baseball with the wardens and Officer Cameron, flew kites, decorated T-shirts, played Trivia with Tommy Mackey from the Education Department, visited with Ranger Steve and Ranger Brittany, explored everything the Club has to offer, and ended our day with an epic water fight!

🙌 A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day a success and to the community partners who joined us in creating memorable experiences for our youth.

📢 As you can see, summer at the Club is loaded with fun, friendship, learning, and adventure. If you have a child aged 8-18, now is the perfect time to become a member and get involved! From special events and field trips to cultural activities, arts, sports, and educational programming, there's something for everyone! Club membership is FREE!

🙌 Chi-Miigwech to Noah Saperstein, who has been an amazing leader in sharing Baaga'adowewin with our club youth!

🤩 Noah has been spending every Wednesday with us. Through his time, knowledge, and dedication, our youth are learning not only the skills of the game but also the immense cultural background and traditions behind one of the oldest indigenous sports.

✨ Watching our members build confidence, teamwork, and cultural connections through baaga'a has been incredible, and we are so thankful for community members who make these opportunities possible.

👏 Miigwech, Noah, for investing in our youth and helping to keep culture alive and thriving in our community!

Culture Days at the Club take place every Wednesday, with Baaga'a played from 1-3 PM. Any youth wanting to learn, connect, and participate in our traditions and teachings are invited to join!

📢😋 Aaniin Youth & Families! The Summer Lunch Program provides free healthy meals for youth aged 18 and under all summer long! Youth can pick up free lunch and snacks between 11 AM - Noon every Monday to Thursday throughout the summer. Spread the word!

👧 Program Update: SMART Girls will now take place on Mondays at 2:00 pm.

🧵 Ribbon Skirt/Shirt Making will continue on Tuesdays from 4:00-7:00. However, transportation will not be available. We ask families to please plan accordingly.

We appreciate everyone's flexibility as we adjust our programming to best serve our youth under the new summer hours (8 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday). If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the club.

📢 Aaniin! Do you have a skill, hobby, talent, or passion you'd love to share with local youth? The Red Cliff Boys & Girls Club of Gitchigami is looking for community members interested in volunteering and helping to create meaningful experiences for our members!

✨ Whether it's hiking, beading, cultural teaching, community excursions, gardening, music, sports, crafts, or helping beautify the club through art projects, we'd love to hear from you. Have a different idea you'd like to share with youth? We're always open to new activities and creating opportunities that help our youth grow, learn, and connect with the community.

✨ Volunteering can be a one-time activity, a special workshop, or an ongoing program - we're happy to work with your schedule and interests.

✨ Friday June 5: Club Open 4-8 PM
✨ Saturday June 6: Community Youth Center Open 12-8 PM

✨ Summer Club Hours begin Friday June 12! We'll be open for Club programming Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 4:30 PM.

🎉 All families are welcome join us Friday June 12 beginning at noon for our Start of Summer Party! We'll have a cookout, baseball, kickball, raffles, and more fun!

🌞 Camp Chequamegon through Bayfield School starts June 22! During the Camp Chequamegon sessions, Camp activities will take place from 8 AM - 1 PM.
