The White Orthodontics crew recently spent the day with us and absolutely KICKED SOME BEHIND. 😂👏

Sorting. Organizing. Moving. Tackling piles. And jumping into whatever needed to be done.

There is so much behind-the-scenes work that goes into keeping resources ready for foster, adoptive, and kinship families—and days like this make a HUGE difference for our small team.

Our peer events offer a fun, low pressure atmosphere for neurodiverse teens to form connections, while practicing important social skills throughout environments! 🗣️

Our goal with these events is to offer variety in the activities we host, with hopes of encouraging self expression, and the exploration of new interests! Haven’t seen an event that interests you or your teenager yet? Feel free to message us with any suggestions, we would love to hear from you! 📲

Sometimes donations come in and immediately go to the Resource Boutique.

Sometimes our Executive Director finds a brown bodysuit, grabs some green tissue paper, and becomes a tree blowing gently in the wind. 🌳🍃

Reminder, next Wednesday September 9th from 8:00-9:30 pm is our Mid-Michigan Foster Adopt Kinship Support Group. We will be talking about Rules and Expectations for Children in Foster Care in Your Home. We hope to see you on Zoom!

On August 21, Foster Families Navigation & Resource Center had the honor of being one of three local organizations nominated to receive the support of 100 People Who Care – Birch Run.

We spoke. They voted. And they chose us!

Their members came together and awarded FFNRC an incredible $7,500 to help us continue walking alongside foster, adoptive, and kinship families in our community.

We are so grateful not only for this generous gift, but for what it represents. A room full of people heard about the work happening here and said, “We want to be part of that.”

To every member of 100 People Who Care – Birch Run: thank you for believing in our families, believing in this work, and choosing to make a difference alongside us.

Everyone can do something. And together, it adds up to something pretty incredible.
