Battle Creek, we have some good news and some bad news 👀
First, the bad news: This will be the final season for the current version of The Creek letters at Mill Race Park in Downtown Battle Creek
When we created these giant letters back in 2021, they were intended to be a pilot project. We had a theory that a bold, recognizable landmark in the heart of downtown Battle Creek could create excitement, inspire community pride, and become a place where people could feel connected to their home.
Now, the good news: YOU proved us right! 🙌
The overwhelmingly positive response from the community over the past 6 years has shown us just how much people love The Creek. From being featured by local institutions, community marketing materials, family photos and graduation pictures - to visitors stopping by to capture a piece of Battle Creek, these letters have become exactly what we hoped they could be. (They were even featured on a show on !)
So, what’s next? We’re dreaming BIGGER.
🆕 We’re officially setting our sights on creating a permanent version of The Creek letters that can stand proudly in our downtown. Year-round. For years to come.
We’ll have more information soon about how residents, businesses, and community partners can help us turn that vision into reality.
In the meantime, you’ve got one last chance to enjoy the original letters! They’ll be coming down at the end of this week, so stop by Mill Race Park, snap a photo, and show them some love.
