In light of recent events in our city, it's clear now more than ever that our young girls need support, guidance, and a community that truly cares. It's time for a revival of strength, sisterhood, and self-worth. We stand together as a beacon of hope and change!
Tenacious GEMS (Girls Empowerment & Mentoring Services) is a place where young girls, ages 12-25, find empowerment, life skills, and a safe space to learn, grow, and thrive. We are more than just a nonprofit. We are a sisterhood built on mutual respect, shared goals, and unwavering support. We equip the next generation with the tools they need to rise above challenges and claim their worth, power, and future!

Timeya Gray, our founder and CEO, has been the heartbeat of Tenacious GEMS since 2016. As a wife, mother, and passionate advocate for young women, Timeya's mission is clear: to empower girls to follow their dreams, stand tall in their worth, and rise with purpose. After a few years of being dormant, God told me to dust off my vision and get back to work! Timeya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Community Services and a Master’s degree in Education, along with an Etiquette Coordinator Certification. She is also fully affiliated with the National Association of Urban Etiquette Professionals. With her education, faith-driven vision, and commitment to excellence, she’s ready to lead Tenacious GEMS into a new chapter of transformation.
