Do you work find yourself carrying grief, worry, or uncertainty about what you’re witnessing in our natural world?

Climate anxiety and ecological grief affects all of us.

Rooted in Hope: Navigating Climate Anxiety & Ecological Grief in Our Changing World offers a space to better understand these experiences and explore ways of remaining connected, grounded, and hopeful without denying the realities we face.

Through reflection, experiential practices, time in nature, and the framework of Joanna Macy's The Work That Reconnects, we’ll explore ecological grief, climate anxiety, solastalgia, our relationship with the living world, and how acknowledging our pain can reconnect us with meaning, community, resilience, and our capacity to act.

This workshop offers continuing education for counselors and social workers, but you do not need to be a mental health professional to attend. If your work—or simply your life—brings you into relationship with the natural world, you are welcome.

Because sometimes we grieve because we care. And our care can also be a source of connection, courage, and hope.

We’re honored to be featured by RedEye! 💚

This story highlights how Baton Roots is growing more than food, we’re growing community. From volunteering in the garden to eco art, yoga, snowballs, EV test drives, and more, Sow Good Saturday is all about creating a space where everyone belongs.

Thank you, RedEye, for sharing our story! Check out the article below, and we hope to see you at the farm this Saturday. 🌱

A community garden at Howell Park is place to plant seeds, learn crafts, drive an EV, eat a snowball, strike a yoga pose.
