🥕 RED STICK FARMERS MARKET EXPANDS TO FOUR DAYS A WEEK

Just in time for peak fall produce season, Red Stick Farmers Market is bringing back its seasonal Tuesday and Wednesday markets in Baton Rouge!

Beginning Tuesday, October 20, farmers and local food artisans will return to the Main Library at Goodwood from 3–6 p.m. The Wednesday Mobile Market returns October 21 at the ExxonMobil YMCA from 9 a.m.–Noon.

That means shoppers will have FOUR opportunities each week to shop Red Stick Farmers Market:

The Tuesday and Wednesday locations are seasonal markets operating from October through November.

Shoppers can find local fruits and vegetables, breads, plants, prepared foods, juices and more. All Red Stick Farmers Markets accept cash, credit/debit and SNAP benefits, with SNAP purchases matched dollar-for-dollar up to $40 per day for fresh fruits and vegetables.

The Broadmoor Christmas Parade Has Been Canceled for 2026.
After over a decade of bringing our community together, we are sad to announce that this year's Christmas Parade will not take place.
We were unable to obtain a waiver from the mayor's office and BRPD for the fees for officer coverage and traffic control, as we had in previous years. Those costs are more than the parade can sustain, and we cannot safely hold the event without that coverage.
We are grateful to everyone who lined the streets, cheered on the floats, and made this tradition what it was. We hope to find a way to bring the parade back in the future, and we will share any updates as they come.

An Invite from Councilman Cleve Dunn:
On behalf of Councilman Cleve Dunn, Jr., District 6, we invite HOA and neighborhood association leaders, board members, and residents to attend an Amazon Drone Community Meeting.

Our office has received calls and emails regarding Amazon drone operations in our community. This meeting will give residents an opportunity to speak directly with Amazon representatives and other stakeholders, ask questions, share their experiences, and receive information about drone operations. Whether you support the drones, have concerns, or simply want to learn more, your perspective is welcome.
