At Station 1 you will find a large flag with 343 names. Below that are 343 small flags. The number 343 represents the FDNY firefighters and paramedics killed while responding to the World Trade Center attacks on September 11, 2001. Never Forget. 25 Years Later, We Stand United. 🚒🇺🇸
To honor the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the Batavia Fire Department is releasing a limited-edition commemorative T-shirt.
This milestone anniversary serves as a solemn reminder of the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience shown by first responders and everyday citizens on that fateful day. All proceeds from shirt sales will directly benefit the Tunnel to Towers charity supporting injured first responders, veterans, and their families.

As we mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the Batavia community comes together to remember the lives lost, honor the first responders who answered the call, and recognize the enduring spirit of service that continues today.
