We’re excited to share that Save An Angel has been awarded a $3,500 grant from Petco Love through their Access to Care grant program. 🐾

This funding will help support veterinary care for pets and families in our community by expanding access to low-cost and free wellness and spay/neuter services through our nonprofit clinic.

We’re incredibly grateful to Petco Love and local Petco store partners for investing in organizations like ours and helping make care more accessible for the pets who need it most.

Every vaccine, spay/neuter surgery, wellness visit, and preventative service helps keep pets healthy, in their homes, and out of overcrowded shelters.

BASTROP, TEXAS - Now through the end of April, Save An Angel's Nonprofit Spay & Neuter Clinic is offering $50 Cat Spay & Neuter Surgeries! Spaying and neutering offers many health benefits and is the most effective way to reduce overpopulation, helping prevent thousands of kittens from entering shelters each year.

Eligibility requirements:
• Cats must be at least 3 months old and less than 6 years old.
• Cats must weigh at least 3 pounds
• Cats must be current on a rabies vaccine. If not, one will be given at the time of surgery for $20

Appointments are required and can be requested online at:

Our clinic is located in Bastrop, Texas at 589 Cool Water Drive, Bastrop, Texas 78602.

Spots are limited and will fill quickly, so we encourage scheduling early. Additional fees may apply based on surgical conditions and services needed.

Today is a busy one at City of Bastrop TX - City Government. 🐾

Our Community Pet Clinic team is set up in the City Hall parking lot hard at work providing free rabies vaccines and microchips to pets in our community, and the turnout has been incredible. With over 100 dogs and cats scheduled, families are showing up early to make sure their pets are protected and safely identified.

Events like this help keep pets safe, reduce the number of lost animals entering shelters, and make it easier to reunite pets with the people who love them. It is a simple service that makes a huge impact for both pets and their families.

A big thank you to our dedicated clinic team and volunteers who are out here working hard to care for every pet that comes through today. We are grateful to be part of a community that shows up for animals. 💙🐶🐱

Our clinic is a nonprofit, high-volume, low-cost pet wellness and spay/neuter clinic focused on one thing, helping pets stay healthy and with the families who love them. Every day here is fast-paced, meaningful, and full of purpose.

On the job training is provided. Compassion, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are what make someone truly great in this role. Because we had two veterinarians performing surgery today and our schedule ended up a little lighter than expected, after all of our owned patients were finished, we were able to end the day by spaying and neutering eight dogs from Bastrop County Animal Services.

Moments like this are exactly why our Spay-it-Forward fund exists. Donations to this fund help cover the cost of surgeries for pets in need, allowing us to support pet parents in our community and partner with the shelter to reduce overcrowding and get dogs and cats spayed and neutered, healthy, and ready for adoption faster.

Every surgery helps lighten the load on the shelter and allows these dogs to head home to their new families even sooner.
