Donations Needed

It takes a lot of money to run a soccer program. Our expenses include equipment, water bags, food, tournament cost, transportation & assistance when injuries happen.

The players love to play in tournaments. It is something for them to look forward to. They don't have vacations to look forward to or gifts for Christmas and birthdays.

"Like a Mother and Father Figure": What Our Work Really Means

A note from one of our players recently stopped me in my tracks. Commenting on a photo of my husband and me, he wrote: "They are like a mother and father figure to the FCWOZO soccer team."

Our goal is never to replace a child’s parents, but to walk alongside them—providing the crucial backup every family needs.

Sometimes, that extra layer of love and resource is what stands between a struggling family staying whole or making the heartbreaking choice to hand their children over to an orphanage.

At Shining Hope Missions, we stand for family preservation!

Smiles, Food, Friendship, Soccer

The U10 players had a game yesterday. They had food together and got to play their favorite sports with friends.

This was a great day for them. Thank you donors for making this possible!

Update on Outchen!

Outchen is in a lot of pain. Thanks to a few generous donors he will have his surgery very soon.

Please pray for the surgery and his healing.

Urgent Support Needed: Help Outchen & His Family After Severe Soccer Injury

Hello,

We are reaching out to ask for your urgent support for our teammate and friend Outchen Cazales.

While preparing for an upcoming match Outchen went to kick the ball, slipped, and collided heavily with another player. The impact broke his foot, and we had to take him to the hospital.

Beyond the pain of the injury, this accident has put him and his family in a critical position.

We want to rally around him to make sure he gets the medical care he needs. His injury is so severe if not fixed properly he could have a deformed leg indefinitely.

Called Up! 🇭🇹⚽

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Lundy Mikenlove on being called up to the Haitian Youth National Team!

Lundy is one of seven children, and his journey is a reminder that with faith, hard work, and opportunity, dreams can become reality. Through Shining Hope Missions, we are committed to investing in young people both on and off the field—helping them grow as athletes, leaders, and followers of Christ.

This milestone would not be possible without everyone who prays for, donates to, and encourages our ministry. Thank you for believing in these young athletes and making opportunities like this possible.

We serve a God who does immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine, and we believe He has even bigger plans ahead. This is only the beginning.

KIND PEOPLE we THANK YOU!

Today I'm reflecting on how many truly wonderful people God has placed in this world. It's a reminder to be thankful, hopeful, and filled with joy.

The news and the challenges of this world can easily weigh us down and make us lose sight of the beauty around us. But every day, we are surrounded by people who reflect God's love.

Today, I thank God for each of you who prays for our ministry, gives generously to keep our programs going, volunteers for the behind-the-scenes jobs (even the not-so-fun ones like cleaning out storage units!), and encourages us when the road gets difficult.

Thank you for your patience, your love, and your unwavering support. Your kindness is a beautiful reminder of God's faithfulness, and we see Jesus in you. ❤️
