This group is comprised of Rock Township Paramedics and community volunteers. Our employee's feel a strong sense of dedication to their community.

Our goal is to facilitate improved interaction within that community in both the emergency and non-emergency setting. For that purpose we will use this platform for the dissemination of news and information that is pertinent to the residents and visitors of Arnold, Barnhart, Fenton, Imperial, and Kimmswick. In addition to being a source of valuable emergency information, the Community Outreach will engage in charitable and volunteer projects that benefit our local community. This will allow us to enact our convictions beyond the workplace: the prevention of illness or injury, and the mitigation of it's effects on individuals and their families. For that purpose, we will remain engaged in pursuits that creates a better community for all of us to live in.

Parents and guardians please read.

🚨 PARENTS & GUARDIANS: PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ 🚨

We’ve recently become aware of renewed concerns regarding social media trends encouraging the misuse of Benadryl and other medications. As part of our commitment to community education, we’d like to remind parents and guardians of the very real dangers associated with medication misuse.

What many young people don’t realize is that these hallucinations are not a harmless side effect…they are a sign of poisoning.

Taking large doses of Benadryl can cause:
• Extreme drowsiness
• Confusion and agitation
• Hallucinations
• Blurred vision
• Rapid heart rate
• Seizures
• Loss of consciousness
• Coma
• Life-threatening heart rhythm disturbances

As parents and caregivers, we encourage you to:
✅ Talk with your children about online challenges and social media trends.
✅ Discuss the real world dangers of medication misuse.
✅ Keep medications secured and out of reach.
✅ Use medications only as directed.
✅ Know the warning signs of an overdose.

A simple conversation today could prevent a tragedy tomorrow.

If you suspect an overdose or poisoning, contact the Poison Help Line at 800-222-1222 immediately and call 911.

Please help us share this information to keep our community safe.

What a great day at our Summer Safety Fair! ☀️🚑

Families from across our community joined us to learn important safety skills while having fun along the way. Kids had the opportunity to practice bike safety on our obstacle course, learn about water safety, outdoor safety, and basic first aid. They also got an up-close look at an ambulance and had the chance to meet some of the people who serve their community every day.

A huge thank you to our partners who helped make this event possible:
• Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department 🚓
• Antonia Fire Protection District 🚒
• Jefferson County 9-1-1 Dispatch 📞
• Rock Community Fire Protection District 🧑🏻‍🚒

We appreciate everyone who came out to spend the day with us and help make safety education fun! We can’t wait to do it again!

We had a great time visiting Mustard Seed Preschool in Arnold for their Bicycle Rally this week! 🚲🚑

Our crew talked with the kids about bicycle and general safety, gave tours of the ambulance, answered lots of awesome questions, and cheered everyone on during the race.

Thank you to Mustard Seed Preschool for inviting us out to be part of such a fun event. We love opportunities like this to connect with our community and help teach little ones how to stay safe while having fun!

We had some very special visitors stop by the station yesterday! 🍪🚑

A local Girl Scout troop dropped off cookies for our crew (which definitely didn’t last long 😄) and got a behind-the-scenes look inside one of our ambulances.

Thank you for thinking of us and for the treats…we appreciate your kindness more than you know! 💚

If your group ever wants to stop by for a tour, we’d love to have you!
