Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park Giving back to Wisconsin's busiest park using our minds, muscle, and money since '96! Devil’s Lake State Park hosts more than 2,500,000 visitors a year.

The Friends partner with park staff to sponsor educational and recreational activities, host hands-on stewardship workdays, and raise funds to support park improvements. To ensure that the park remains an unspoiled jewel of nature, members of the non-profit group Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park (FODL) contribute their minds, muscle, and money. The Friends partner with park staff and volunteers

to complete environmental and beautification projects, sponsor educational and recreational activities for park visitors, and raise funds to support special park needs.

THANK YOU to our incredible volunteers who cleaned up the South Shore beach yesterday! 👏✨

They hauled away several wheelbarrow loads of seaweed, sticks, and litter to keep the shoreline beautiful for everyone to enjoy.

Meet The Folks of Devil’s Lake!

"Parks like this allow us to unplug and tune in to all of our senses."

Melissa, Jamie, and Lucas were visiting from the Rochester, MN area. They haven’t visited in many years and wanted to visit a park with great trails, cool rock formations, and a beautiful lake. Devil’s Lake State Park checked all the boxes, and no visit would be complete without a family pic with Balanced Rock.

Woo hoo! We were nominated for a Tandem Award for Collaboration through the Wisconsin Governor's Outdoor Industry Awards for our partnership with Rock Brewery & Kitchen! We're so excited for this recognition! The awards will be announced next week at a special recognition ceremony at the Governor's Executive Residence. Thank you so much to our partners for helping brew beer for good!

New picnic tables have arrived! Help us assemble them on Saturday, June 13 from 9 am - 12 pm.

Our work area is open - there is very little shade. Please bring a hat and sunscreen, water, and work gloves if you have them.

We purchased over 40 new picnic tables for the Quartzite Campground, with generous support from Wisconsin's Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program. Thank you to everyone who made this program possible for groups like us to fund state park improvements!
